I like art and dogs, in that order. I do Magic Art Shows for fun. He/him. Trying to be relevant since ever. I work for an art museum by day.

I’m exhibiting at Airecon this coming weekend. I’ve just finished up some Dragons to take with me.

I keep forgetting to post my MTG x TMNT art, so here's one of them, the Treasure token! This was a lot work but a lot of fun; something to appeal to the Chuck E Cheese kid who lurks in the depths of my heart

Yes, That Mancini’s: How a Legendary St. Paul Steakhouse Raised $35K for the Resistance - Racket β€˜The Gathering for Good’ brought the West 7th neighborhood together.

Yeah, you should eat at Mancini's this weekend:

Gus Gus I would’ve but it’s just too far for the audience

I figure if you need an Uber, and you’re going that far, well there you go

Both worth it

It’s kind of like a Portland for a really great weekend trip.

Look for cheap flights and absolutely do it up.

Love hen house. I didn’t mention it because it’s kind of hard to get to when you’re in downtown St. Paul.

It is shockingly good though yes

It’s also tough for magic players because they need to generally have faster breakfast, and it’s never quick to get a table

@deardara.bsky.social also thank you for writing on Kristin. She’s a delight. Her father was a big boundary water supporter when I worked for the friends of the BWCA, we got lunch there.

I bring donors to that place for lunch and they are always impressed by how good (and under the radar) it…was. πŸ‘€

you’re that local celebrity lady, hi

I think it’s good. But if you’re flying into town for a convention, you either go proximity and great, or farther a field and fantastic.

I think if you’re walking this far already, just go to Manciniβ€˜s.

And I know, DeRusha loved this place a few years ago.

Forgot to mention Wrecktangle pizza!!!
πŸ• πŸ• πŸ•

They’ve been real sickos with community drives and fundraising. It’s thick Detroit style pizza.

And next-door to it is an adult Barcade in Minneapolis.

You can also get it at Malcolm yards the food hall. The Schredder pizza is fantastic.

It should be fine on Saturday night

The professional soccer team - MN United, that’s a block away. It doesn’t play then.

You definitely need someone from the community to chime in here cause there’s a lot of them that I don’t even know about, and the real ones will bring you to them that are a bit more fun and safer.

We lost a bunch during the pandemic

If you’re asking about gay bars: gay 90s, the brass rail, eagle Mpls, Jetset underground, 19 Bar for pool too.

Black Hart of Saint Paul is where I’d recommend. Big soccer and gay bar.

A bar of their own is a women’s sports only bar, which is kind of a lesbian bar too.

10.03.2026 00:07 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

You often find honeys at the hewing hotel in Minneapolis. Or The Four Seasons bar. Or the bar at the walker art center. Or at prohibition. All Mpls.

In St. Paul - Moscow on the hill has the honeys, so does WA frost, Sweeney’s Saloon too but it’s a bit younger.

I mean, if you want dirt cheap dirt cheap, you go to Dinkytown, which is like the student ghetto by the University of Minnesota.

I like Gluek’s in downtown Minneapolis, it’s a Czech/Jewish/Yiddish bar. It has schnitzel and cheap beers. I go there before Timberwolves games.

The Twin Cities’ Best Hidden Bars and Speakeasies Look for the red light in the alley at these speakeasies around Minneapolis and St. Paul.

Bars are pretty open and it really depends on what you’re looking for

I like prohibition on the 8th floor in downtown Minneapolis. That’s above the best steakhouse in the area.

This list is pretty spot on other than Billy’s. Which I think is a bit overrated.

With hockey games on, you’re going to see Police everywhere so it’ll be Uber safe the whole time.

remember that our airport is fast. You don’t need to arrive hours early-fit in a last meal before you go.

Real sickos take the light rail to the Mall of America and then back to the airport.
