I found the yarn!!!! Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Rose! Thank you everyone!
I found the yarn!!!! Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Rose! Thank you everyone!
Oh my god youβre right! I looked up βLion Brand cotton yarnβ and it was the first result! Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton yarn in Rose!
I heard about the bleach test too, *might* try that later down the line
Extra context! I have used yarnsub.com to help, and while it gave a lot of contenders, almost none of them had pictures and the ones that did werenβt a match unfortunately (which sucked because most of them were discontinued)β¦ π§Ά
A bright hot pink yarn in a small skein; according to tests I did, itβs cotton (probably 100% cotton) and I found it had around 11~12 wraps per inch, so itβs either sport or DK weight. In the background, there a bit of a project using the same yarn, as well as a multi-use knitting tool keychain.
Hello #Knitsky! I need your help IDβng some yarn I found at a thrift store! I did some testing beforehand (burn test, wraps per inch), and found that itβs most likely a cotton sport yard. It has 4 plies, and itβs silky smooth, so maybe mercerized cotton?
On second thought it might not be. Iβve just seen so much AI knitting stuff itβs actually sad. π
B!tch thatβs AI, shame on that magazine!
I forgot to ask the question: any tips on how to prevent that? Is that even a realistic scenario?
Iβm thinking about switching to #Linux before Windows 11 is forced on my laptop (Linux Mint if that matters), but I have an online class and Iβm worried that switching would lock me out of accessing that class
I prefer youtube on mobile browser (app doesnβt allow ad blockers, and I have DuckDuckGo), but I might try the petition.
Iβm going to regret asking this, but #YouTubers and anyone who uses #YouTube - whatβs it like over there now that the AI age verification thing is happening. I switched to #PeerTube the day it first went live, so Iβm blissfully out of the loop.
I thought it was Camouflage Pink too, but when I went to look it up. It had green and white instead of brown and light pink. Still, thatβs the best answer I gotβ¦
A large ball of yarn Iβve had since forever, only recently rediscovered a couple months back. It is a multi-colored yarn with light pink, pink, mauve, and then brown. Itβs 4-ply, and as I said, the texture is reminiscent of Red Heart acrylic yarn. Yarnsub said it *could* be Super Saver Stripes, which was discontinued (which tracks due to how long ago I first bought it), but the pattern reminds me of another yarn, maybe ombre? Or perhaps With Love? Pictures online have not been helping since Joannβs shut down unfortunately..
A small amount of the yarn in question, unspooled to better show off the colors. (Brown, Mauve/Pinky-purple, pink, light pink). The reason Iβm so desperate to ID this is because I wanna register it in my Ravelry stash, lol. π§Ά (Yarn ball emoji).
Ok #knitsky, Iβve been trying to ID this ball of yarn Iβve had since forever (it used to be two very floppy skeins, I combined them) and yarnsub is unfortunately not pulling through. The texture of the yarn says Red Heart; more info in alt text

I figured as much, but when I tried to look them up I couldnβt get very far. Now I know why. Thanks though!
Iβm scared to ask about this, but what is a ravelry red-hen? Iβm bringing in #knitsky and the #knitting feed into this, I tend to browse ravelry when Iβm boredβ¦
Should probably add some tags

I hope this is still relevant

I forgot the tags! #cosplay #halloween
Black generic witch hat, flattened. It stands up but tends to fall flat during wear. The top half of the hat is supported by a thin, cheap foam cone of sorts
The underside of the same hat, with the foam cone showing. Since the hat is all black, it might be hard to see everything, but I think you can see what Iβm working with in this lighting.
The hat in its full glory. It has a bow and some basic decorative embroidery, but itβs all black so itβs hard to see without proper lighting
Cosplayers, I have a small problem: my witch hat (which I bought 3-ish years ago for like $5 at a Spirit Halloween) is looking a bit bland and flat. I have some ideas on how to fix the blandness, but I would like your input to help it stay upright. Clarification in alt text
I always felt awkward seeing Harry Potter stuff out in the wild, glad to see Iβm not weird (but sad to see the bigotryβs only gotten worse somehow)
You mean a chonkin?
I always try to leave a review whenever I get something off of Etsy, mainly because I keep getting notifications to do those reviews. But also the sellers are super nice, so I make a point to include that in my reviews.

Is there a website detailing a list of Fiber festivals in general? Iβm asking for myself, but Iβm also assuming that others would like to know.
I found thatchedroofcottage.com
(Thatched Roof Cottage) but I wonder if there are others
Now that I thought about it for a minute, I could probably heck my email.
Ok, there is a pattern for the yarn Iβm using, but for the life of me I cannot seem to find it outside of Ravelry. I donβt have a problem with Ravelry, itβs just that I forgot the password to my account and I donβt feel like making a new one.
Thank you for the correction! Anyways, I tried to do a seamless join, but the starting row was too short to maneuver the needles, leaving me to try and do it by hand. It was not pleasant.
I originally casted on 64 stitches (plus an extra one, so 65) but I couldnβt join them together; and I did have the correct gauge too if anyone was wondering (4 inches =30 stitches x 42 rows)
Yarn: Sachenmayer Regia PAIRFECT yarn, colorway is Erika, I got it from the discount bin at my LYS; supposedly makes knitting a matching pair of socks as foolproof as you can get. Needles: Itβs hard to see in this lighting, but above the yarn are a set of steel double pointed needles (DPN). Specifically the Chiao Goo Red series in size 2.75 millimeters (I have a bad habit of tossing out labels, so I donβt know the exact name; apologies foe those who are interested)
#knitsky #knitting π§Ά Ok, Iβm trying to knit socks for the very first time and I have a question: how do I calculate the num of stitches I should cast on? I did my gauge swatch, I looked up some equations online, and I canβt join them together so I can knit in the round (more info in the alt text)
