I agree to an extent. I'm constantly dismayed that so many people view politics as an 'interest', or 'hobby', rather than a civic responsibility.
But in defence of those people, they are immersed in a constant stream of very tailored disinformation.
Ultimately the elites are responsible.
The audience drifts towards bigotry swayed by populist media.
It's mass media and political leaders that egg each other on like teenagers.

There is some friction but I'm a nerd and don't mind tinkering; I'm also sticking to FOSS apps as much as possible which increases friction.
But having said that, installing GrapheneOS is incredibly easy and you can install what ever you want to reduce friction.
Yes and couldn't image going back to Android proper. It's a bit basic compared to OEM Android but for me the complete absence of nagware from apps I can't uninstall more than compensates for that.

The Greens at their core are a middle class party. Well intended, but the members and representatives don't have the life experience to be a true working class party.
I never found a way to completely do it. No matter what settings I changed it would constantly prompt me to reactivate it. In the end I brought a Pixel and installed GrapheneOS.
