My first time out with my camera for a few weeks, not the best conditions but still managed a few photos of the Summer Leys regulars, one being this great white egret #ukwildlife #birds #wildlife #nature #photography

One morning in the spring one of the great white egrets spent a long time fishing in a channel between the two, at the time submerged, islands at Summer Leys. Future photos will show whether it was successful... #ukwildlife #ukbirding #wildlifephotography #naturephotography #bird

I spent some time at the start of the month with my local peregrines. Three juveniles successfully left the nest box but unfortunately a couple of days after this photo was taken I found what i think was this juvenile dead. A sad end but the other two are doing well #ukwildlife #peregrine #bird
A last minute decision saw me heading to see black hairstreaks at the start of the month and it was one of the best trips I've had. There seemed to be hairstreeaks everywhere and at one point I must have been surrounded by at least 20 individuals #ukwildlife #butterfly #macro
My first morning in Pembrokeshire meant a visit to the coast. Before reaching the coast proper the walk took me through some gorse bushes where there are a few species of smaller birds. The first I encountered were linnets including these two that posed very nicely #ukwildlife #linnet #bird
A few weeks ago I was in Pembrokeshire hoping to visit Skomer to see the puffins. I had a few days before my trip to Skomer so explored some other areas first. Just after arriving I headed out and as I was walking back to the cottage I spotted this fox. Not a bad start to the trip! #ukwildlife #fox
A lucky encounter with a fox on a recent misty morning. I first spotted this fox walking away from me in the distance but for some reason it decided to turn around and head straight for me. I'm glad it did! #ukwildlife #fox #wildlife #nature
