Not sure.
Cards are played to the various tiles based on time cost. Tiles move down one, to the right, with the right most tile that was off the board slotted into the far left back on the board.
Only cards pushed off the board become accessible.

The first game of Dice Tower West was me teaching Echoes of Time by Cranio Creations.
This is a really fun and exciting engine-building, combo-creating game with a unique conveyor belt mechanic for getting cards into play. Very easy to teach & learn, and players feel smart while playing.

A creative friend of mine at Crazy Viking Studios created this album.
If you like dark Stranger Things-esque 80s vibes, check this out. Itβs really cool!

Great review. Youβre 100% right about the burn cards. I know some groups that will never play with them, and some that will never play *without* them.
Thatβs why we made them optional, so people could have the kind of experience that they find most enjoyable. :)
Such a sad bottle! π
We are at Aki-ban Con, in Lake Stevens!
Lots of open gaming space and a game library available as well!

Many of Hollandspieleβs games are like that. Unique themes, twisty mechanics, and decisions which make one think.
Check out Meltwater, This Guilty Land, and this:

I am unreasonably (reasonably?) excited for this!
That podcast is outstanding and your games are always something unique, fun, and mind-bendy.
I have high hopes about this one as well!
Hah! So it is!
Yeah, that game is wonderfully brain warpy!
Perhaps this?
Where you have to gift tiles to your opponent, trying to gauge which one is LESS helpful.

Titled: βWelcome to Enumclawβ.
Iβd argue this is such a game. It won a Golden Geek.

While not a phone, one of my all time favorite weird 80s gadgets was my chicken alarm clock that sang an oddly catchy song.
Well, I thought it was catchy. Everyone else thought it was annoying AF. π

Agreed. These 4 were phones that I or friends had throughout the 80s.
Gotta love the funky designs. π
I actually kind of like the scoring track. Being able to peel away previous scoring so it doesnβt get in the way visually is rather helpful and cuts down on mental clutter.
Itβs a little clunky, sureβ¦but I really like what it ultimately succeeds in.
We also played Above & Below: Haunted by Red Raven Games.
This is essentially Above & Below 2.0, with a few new elements added in.
The changes are excellent, fixing some issues the group had with the original. Highly recommended.
We then played The Others: 7 Sins by CMON.
I *really* love this game & theme. A top 10 for sure.
I played the sin of Gluttony, gaining bonuses each time the players did.
It was a very close game, but I ultimately stopped the Faith players, crushing their attempts at victory. π
Some games played at PAX West.
Staufer Dynasty. An older Z-Man title that I randomly found at a game store.
Itβs territory control game with perfect information available to all playersβ¦requiring clever strategy to ultimately win out.
Everyone really enjoyed it and had fun playing!

Great googly moogly! π±
I would enjoy that (math nerd) but yeahβ¦thatβs a SUPER niche audience game.
Cool idea though!
They put out an expansion not too long ago as well.
My day job is working at Zulus Board Games, so I get to see all the new stuff coming through. π
Hey @613mandi.bsky.social
New solo RPG available today! A horror themed βhex crawlβ titled βBlueberry Wineβ.
Perhaps have some blueberry wine while you play? π
Smart.
Sadly, smart. π₯
I donβt blame you at all. Anyone considering travel to the US would need to question their ability to leave without being imprisoned first.
I certainly miss yaβ¦but when one lives in a totalitarian fascist hellscape, one is oft to not get visitors. πΏ
No embarrassment. It just means we have excellent taste. ;)
Glad I could bring up some new ones. :)
