You could be making the case that it is patriotic to pay taxes so the government can make lives better because some things are more effectively done at that level. Those who are shirking paying (that is, the billionaires) hate America and what it stands for. And instead you're doing this?

Snow in May? It's Happened Before -- Here Are the Numbers Here are the records for the latest dates for snowfall in these New England cities.

I don't consider us safe from snow in Boston until about mid-May. (And look up the April Fool's blizzard of 1997, too.) www.nbcboston.com/news/local/s...

I was surprised at the Catholic undergrads at the Catholic university I went to for my English MA in the late 90s who were unfamiliar with St. Sebastian!

Could Italy arrest ICE and drop them off at the Hague for crimes against humanity? (I know it's a different division from the thugs committing extrajudicial killings but that would be kind of amazing if Italy pulled that off.)

How a billionaire with interests in Greenland encouraged Trump to acquire the territory US president’s friend Ronald Lauder – who first proposed Arctic expansion – is now making deals in the island

Also, fyi, Ronald Lauder is pushing Trump on Greenland. Lauder companies include Aveda, Le Labo, Origins, and the Ordinary, so boycotting them is a good idea. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

I have a legendarily terrible sense of direction which makes it even worse. One time, pre-GPS and during the Big Dig, I tried to get to Newton from Harvard Square and ended up at Logan. But then once I was there I knew how to get where I wanted to go!
