I was the same when living in Vic, taking over bedrooms, as well as the family room. But here in Tas I have the luxury of a studio. While it doesn’t fit everything, the spare bedrooms now look like spare bedrooms, & the textile supplies are secreted away, in places not obvious to the casual observer
I’m sure you’ll get on just fine, but watch out - it won’t be long before you find yourself with a herd of looms (says me who had to find a house to buy that would fit all my looms & knitting machines).
