Fucking and Other Poems by Don Yorty
Tomorrow is going to be big, loud, boisterous, and joyful. There will be more people, in more places, bringing more signs and songs and joyful defiance than anything we’ve ever done before. We need you with us: www.nokings.org?SQF_SOURCE=i... #NoKings
So I guess I called it about Terry Moran. I don't think it was a very difficult call.
I'm attending Indivisible Brooklyn's event, “No Kings with Indivisible Brooklyn” - sign up now to join me!
Terry Moran should quit ABC News and move to Substack as an independent journalist and prodemocracy content creator. He might also consider suing the ABC’s ass.
I saw Old Friends last night. I predict it will NOT close on June 29, but will instead follow the path of the Fosse-driven Dancin’ that reigned on Broadway from 1978 to 1982.
My prediction: A team of Republican Senators led by John Thune and Mitch McConnell are delivering the news to Donald Trump à la Richard Nixon in 1974. You need to leave. You’ve lost the support of your conference.
Next up: TACO nuclear deal with Iran
Oh, for those quaint, bygone days when the Svengali in the White House was the always stunningly coiffed and accoutered Nancy Reagan, and her signature motto was “Just Say No.”
Re Abrego Garcia, it sounds to me like the Salvadorans wanted him back so they could punish him, and the Trump administration agreed to cooperate with them and lied about the fact that they had deported him due to an administrative error.

Graph from WaPo morning newsletter accompanying headline, "All three major U.S. stock indices slumped yesterday.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan: "There goes that corporate media again." I don't think "slump" is quite the right word. Wasn't it more like a 10% correction? Reuters, I think, did it justice: "US stock market loses $4 trillion in value as Trump plows ahead on tariffs." But not WaPo.

I've been writing these short essays about the life and death of a poetry collection. Side by side with the life and relentless mortality of the poet. Check out #15. Then catch up with the ones you done missed.

Good news I think: Just stopped into my corner deli in bed-stuy to pick up some B&J’s and three hood bruhs were talking about how the Trump tariffs were raising food prices & tanking the markets. The most I’ve ever heard these guys say about politics before is “the president don’t do shit.”
