The video of an ICE agent murdering a woman in Minneapolis is terrifying. I’m not sure at what point people stop being so obsessed over supporting one elected official that they recognize when fascists are killing people in the streets.

I’m grateful that, despite Republicans playing political games, the state will be keeping its word and resuming funding to critical programs programs. (2/2)
This morning, Michigan Attorney General Nessel released an opinion stating that the House Republicans’ clawback of $645 million in funding is unconstitutional. The State Budget Office has been directed to resume providing funding to the grantees. (1/2)
The President unconstitutionally invaded Venezuela and abducted its president and his wife. Venezuela just happens to be a country rich in oil. This is an egregious violation of his presidential powers, and it’s incumbent upon every US congressperson to hold him accountable.
Yesterday, the House Appropriations Committee Republicans rescinded hundreds of millions of dollars in grants from projects that are already started. These programs help build housing, provide resources for infants, and offer after school programming for students. This is cruel, plain and simple.
Someone should tell Kaitlyn Buss that no amount of snarky comments about me will make Republican men respect her. Her rights are just as disposable as mine to them.
Today, several of my colleagues and I submitted the letter below to the MPSC regarding the attempts by DTE to bypass public hearings for the proposed data center in Saline Township. The MPSC owes it to Michiganders to approach this proposal with due diligence.
I just watched a guy at the airport pick his nose and eat it, twice, so I don’t want to hear one more word about how it’s women’s fault that men are lonely.
Being able to condemn the President calling for the murder of elected officials should be the bare minimum. This level of pandering is shameful and should be disqualifying.

Two years ago, I got to marry my best friend and partner in the truest sense of the word. Happy anniversary, @nathantriplett.bsky.social. My life is immeasurably richer for getting to navigate it with you.
I am proud to share that Michigan State Representative Laurie Pohutsky (@lauriepohutsky.bsky.social) has endorsed our campaign for Michigan's 10th Congressional District.
💜💜💜
RFS alum and MI state Rep. @lauriepohutsky.bsky.social isn’t mincing words:
“The authoritarian activation of troops against citizens exercising constitutional rights is deeply concerning.”
That’s why she is sponsoring a bill to push back.
✨ Proof that if you want change, run for office.
After months of games and delays, House Republicans are rushing through an 800+ page bill with less than an hour for us to review. On first glance, it cuts funds for early voting, legal aid, consumer protection enforcement, and rape kit testing. I will be voting no.
Thank you, that means a lot to hear.
Thank you so much for saying this! I can actually serve two more terms in the House, so I have a bit of time to think.
Next week, I’ll introduce a bill to prohibit the unlawful deployment of the National Guard to Michigan. #MILeg #NoKings
Donald Trump preyed on people in a particularly vulnerable place and, no surprise, lied about supporting insurance coverage for IVF. Now, his team is lying about the current state of fertility treatment. He won’t support IVF because religious fanatics don’t. Full stop.
A victory for health care access: Medicaid funding for @ppfa.org will stay intact for the time being. We'll keep fighting so people in every ZIP code can access the care they need and deserve. #HandsOffMedicaid
Thank you! She’s my little lady.
I made up for it at dinner!
Rep. Schriver’s bills to undo wildly popular and important protections for queer people and those seeking abortion care that were passed last term demonstrate that he isn’t interested in representing Michiganders or being godly. He merely wants to hurt people.

*She actually just thinks that whenever we’re in the kitchen she gets cheese, but I like to think she’s just keeping me company.
@nathantriplett.bsky.social picked dinner tonight, creamy tomato spaghetti with preserved lemon. After we both hunted for preserved lemon, it was a breeze to make and absolutely delicious. Definitely going in the rotation.
Donald Trump can’t erase our history or our communities just by changing a website. But this should remind all of us that none of us are safe until all of us are safe.
Garlin is a public servant through and through. His top priority is the people of this state, and I know that’s how he’ll operate as Governor. I align with his values, but I also admire his approach.
I’ve worked with him one-on-one more closely, which isn’t a slight against Sec. Benson but more a point of familiarity with Garlin. I’ve seen him approach legislators personally to try and work through policy issues. He’s a problem solver, but he also calls out bad actors directly.
I’m thrilled to support @barbbyrum.bsky.social in her run for Secretary of State. She’s a fierce defender of voting rights and election transparency, and Michigan needs her experience now more than ever.
Not to put words in his mouth, but he has been extremely critical of Trump’s policies independently of what the Governor is doing. His ability to chart his own course there is a large part of why I’m supporting him.
An endorsement graphic sharing my endorsement of Garlin Gilchrist for Governor.
I’m proud to endorse @garlingilchrist.bsky.social in his run for Governor of Michigan. Garlin is a fighter and a problem solver. I’ve partnered with him on reproductive and LGBTQ rights as well as maternal and infant health initiatives, and I can’t wait to get to work with him as Governor.
