We need a name for this, something like vice-signalling, where people, usually in or around tech or finance, claim to do some quirky bullshit that patently doesn't work just so they can post about it to build their personal brand.
π Why do not all immigrant groups support progressive parties?

Now might be a good time to untether electricity prices from gas prices and work towards ending dependency on oil.
Have these moments with my students all the time. You haven't heard of Carly Rae Jepsen? Robin Thicke? You can write off most things from before then.
I came across some images of the first UK performance of Δapekβs "R.U.R." that I hadn't seen before, so I posted them online: profadamroberts.substack.com/p/some-image...

Shout out to Nigel Farage, Kemi Badenoch, and Tony Blair for their unerring skill at reading public opinion.
Very excited to see this paper out in the world! Across 3 rounds of interviews with white Minnesotans, I show that white id varies and responds dynamically to shifts in context. Many whites have low id but vary in how they interpret whitenessβas providing them dis/advantages. 1/7

Dr Alice Hodkinson, founder of Biology in Medicine, a campaign group, said: "We have known for years that cross-sex hormones are harmful for all children through to age 18 so we welcome this announcement. "However, cross-sex hormones do not become any less harmful on a patient's 18th birthday. There is mounting evidence of the long-term adverse effects which include heart disease, stroke and early mortality. "For all age groups there are huge concerns about access to illegal drugs privately and via EU loopholes, where patients are accessing prescription hormones from Spain and Ireland in particular, and also the use of illegal anabolic steroids direct from websites. "We hope the Government will act on all these sources of hormones to protect vulnerable groups of children and young adults from bad actors."
While Labour continues its anti-trans agenda by denying medical assistance to trans young people, it will never be enough for certain "gender critical" ideologues. They won't be satisfied until no trans individuals can transition at all.

Muslim voices speaking about war in the Middle East are treated not as participants in democratic debate but as suspects within it. Our motives are interrogated, our loyalties questioned, and our words interpreted through a presumption of bad faith.

People should be REALLY scared by this, it's normalising refusing healthcare to a section of the community for entirely ideological reasons with absolutely no medical reason

What's also funny about this is Badenoch thinks Twitter is where all the young people hang out.

Good to see Guardian highlighting this, and always worth remembering how many curators, academics, and activists of colour (often women) have spoken and campaigned on this topic for many years. π
I guess MAGA clicks on British press opinion pieces has become increasingly lucrative.
Looking at the front pages of the Tory Sunday press, I see they've become big fans of Tony Blair all of a sudden.
Wow, it's almost like they know what they're doing is evil and want to keep people from knowing about it.
At this rate Tony Blair is in danger of boosting Keir Starmer's poll numbers.
Tony Blair's "rare intervention" is winning him new friends, I see.
Some people don't know when to shut up.
