from Beyond The Fields We Know: An Almanac of Midwestern Prairie Spirits.

Title: Blooming Desiderium The first piece of a Duotycht. A large gargoyle is crouched on a terrace wall overlooking a landscape of prairie and farm fields. The gargoyle crouches with its head down and its arms wrapped around itself in profile. In one huge claws hand it delicately cups a rose, its petals a color somewhere between pale blue and lilac. A snarl of rose bramble grows up the gargoyles back, producing similar blooms.

Title: Blooming Desiderium The second piece of a Duotycht. High on a ridge a large crumbling house in the early prairie-style grows overgrown and decays. Forlorn bay windows of leaded glass show no light and lonely chimneys stand crooked and without hearth smoke. Below the house a bramble of roses grows, blooming in a pale color between light blue and lilac. In the sky a moon with a wistful ecpfsssjon looks on.

In the grottos of masonry and high up on the chimney stacks of Goblin Hill, the rare Rosa Desiderium blooms the color of deep longing, illuminated only by the moon.

the drawing is a green-saturated illustration featuring a mysterious young woman from the graphic novel project, Blue Hollow. She has on an old timey simple green dress with belle sleeves, has very long white curly hair, no shoes, and reaches out to you as if beckoning you to follow. She just barely touches the surface of black water with a toe, and a sheer shroud over her head blows in the wind. Behind her is a mighty weeping willow on flat black. She is someone very important, but kept a treasured secret away from the prying eyes of anyone who once knew her.

It's #DragonAppreciationDay it seems! Or is it #AppreciateADragonDay? I don't know which as I only found out recently lol. For those who don't know me, I paint a lot of dragons! Here's one soaking up the last rays of sun while overlooking its domain.

New animal pendants coming this Saturday! 🔥 (noon CST) so excited about this black clay 🖤

A small ceramic sculpture of a black coyote with a white and gold owl perched on it’s back. The coyote features my signature California Poppy motif carved into it’s sides. And it also has a handmade red tassel hanging from it’s mouth. This piece is standing on top of a wooden box with a fancy handle and closure.

The second image shows the inside of the box with the piece laying on it’s side on top of cushions and pillows handmade out of a red silk-like fabric with a floral dragon embroidered design. There is also a cushion pillow in the top of the lid of the box as well.
