What would be the biggest challenges to having a couple of motivated open source developers (or maybe an after school programming club) develop and deploy for free a free filing system?

I was in a 2 hour briefing today on the Iran War. All the briefings are closed, because Trump can't defend this war in public.

I obviously can't disclose classified info, but you deserve to know how incoherent and incomplete these war plans are.

1/ Here's what I can share:

What you need to know about Texas ICE detention deaths Last year was the deadliest year in ICE detention in two decades. Nearly a quarter of those deaths occurred in Texas.

🧡 (1) SIX ICE DEATHS IN TEXAS IN SIX WEEKS; 3 at a Fort Bliss camp holding +3K immigrants. A homicide involving staff. That’s after the deadliest year in ICE detention in decades as Trump seeks to expand it. Lawyers call it an β€˜unfolding humanitarian crisis.’

Hillary Clinton has more than her share of flaws, but when it comes to "showing congressional Republicans the proper level of contempt" she is flawless.

The Manacle, the Network, and the Tree New Epstein revelations have many in science asking me β€œhow can things be different?”

Amidst overwhelming Epstein revelations, I've heard from many scientists, especially women, about the deafening silence from so many corners. Many ask "how could things be different?"

In this post, I answer with three metaphors, grounded in the science he tried to own

The real story is that foreign governments try to interfere with elections in the U.S. all the time. In 2020 and 2024, the U.S. had private and public infrastructure in place to catch them, call them out, and mitigate the damage. Now, those mechanisms are gone, intentionally undermined and dismantled by the Trump administration. Instead of securing our elections, it seems that the current administration would prefer to exploit the spectre of β€œforeign interference” to justify its own *federal interference* in the upcoming midterm election.

Yesterday, Trump tried to justify the attack on Iran with rehashed claims of "election interference" from 2020 and 2024. Here's my 2 cents on what that was all about:

This week it was uncovered that the Trump regime is trying to "cure" trans prisoners of being transgender, while doing everything they can - from labeling our mere existence as explicit to stripping us of our legal documents - to ensure we *all* end up imprisoned in their ever-growing camps.

OpenAI posted the terms of the deal. Reveals that it absolutely does allow for domestic surveillance. EO 12333 is how the NSA hides its domestic surveillance by capturing communications by tapping into lines *outside the US* even if it contains info from/on US persons.

I don't think there's any law covering insider trading in the prediction markets, and that's fine---it just means that nobody but insiders should be betting in the prediction markets.

Calling the claim of genocide a β€œblood libel” dilutes the meaning of one of the most dangerous antisemitic tropes in history.

Weaponizing this term makes it harder to identify when actual blood libel is directed at Jews and weakens the very language we need to protect ourselves.

CBS censored The Colbert show in deference to the Trump administration. The only appropriate response is to make sure the censored material is seen by far more people than watch the Colbert show.

This clip where Colbert talks about the censorship.

FINALLY! A federal district court judge who recognizes that preserving the status quo ante during the pendency of civil litigation means restoring things to how they were BEFORE the actions by the U.S. government that caused the plaintiffs to file the lawsuit, NOT to keep the new federal changes.
