Love this. The “tradition” argument is steeped in white supremacy and tries to push an underlying assumption that things are “normal” or “okay.” And let’s be real - nothing about what happening is normal or okay. Good for @michelleobama - a true embodiment of moral courage.
As we individually and collectively navigate multiple challenges in this moment, I invite you to think about how praciting hope can be far more impactful than optimism or positivity.
