I agree. The headline needs a clarification or rewrite.
It would be obvious who went from too-large shoes to properly fitting shoes, lol. The entire cabinet oozes with crabs in a bucket vibes.
The first one who does that is going to get tattled on by the others. Backstabbers abound.
Every baseball mom who does the advanced math at 9pm in pool play has an eye twitch right now.

If they say it enough, it will become true, right?? ๐ซ
Related: I want someone to publish an updated The Way We Never Were (Coontz) and focus specifically on this economic nostalgia.
Seriously.๐
Were these locations in WilCo incorrect: www.wilcodemocrats.org/election-info/ ?
I'm not a WilCo nor Dallas Co voter so did not have this issue.
Only 2 counties out of 254 returned to precinct based voting for the March 2026 primary. One heavily favored Crockett and the other Talarico. What a coincidence, I'm sure.
In addition to Dallas County, Williamson County also went back to the precinct based voting on Election Day for the first time in more than 10 years. WilCo is more than 25% hispanic. The goal is Dem voter suppression, not necessarily any one ethnicity/race. WilCo actually went to Allred in 2024.
The face I just faced.
I need all the non-Texans to go sit down when it comes to Texas elections. Truly.
The precinct voting was only in Dallas Co (Crockett's homebase, I think) and Williamson Co (Talarico's). It's a shame, imo, since we've had open voting for at least a decade, but I also don't think it would have effected the final outcome here.
๐ณ oh nooooo.
The Bulwark did a focus group podcast where they talked with R voters about their choices... it was something.
That Paxton is a viable option says a lot.
There's one other candidate (Ahmad R. Hassan) but I expect there will not be a D runoff... I think there's a better than 0 chance for an R runoff though.
Primary day is today. If you're trying to vote tomorrow, you're too late.
Cruz's seat is up next ๐
This is the way.
These are only on the Republican ballot. The Democratic ballot has different ones.
I'd like to quibble over the disclaimer that some donors may have given more through DAFs. I believe it's been studied and shown that donors are more likely to hold funds in DAFs and not distribute, so the disclaimer is unlikely to be true.
pretty stunning chart

@sleepyheadmctired.bsky.social Stok has a decaf cold brew that's really great, if that helps.
So much AI. SMH.
I am so jealous! Enjoy ๐
Raise your hand if you had a job while you were still in high school. It would probably be more efficient, Dr. Oz, to simply have everyone pay their fair share in taxes.
