It’s not the batteries that are broken, the buttons don’t work at all. The stick is the only input that still works on it, but none of the face buttons or bumpers or anything like that work.

Don’t think anything is wrong with those either!

For if it REALLY isn’t working

Just added some slight shading to help differentiate the direction surfaces (so you can tell what's a floor vs what's a wall regardless of their texture)

Added Screen-Space Ambient Occlusion and normal-based shading effects to my game to help differentiate the facing of surfaces in this tile-based top-down view.

Starting to make a title screen for the upcoming demo, with a short riff from the one song I've made for this so far lol. All thats missing is a "press start" thing.

Thanks! Hoping to get more actual art in there soon, I’m aiming to have a super small demo at a local event in two weeks. Also I’m getting tired of seeing that number grid lol

It’s my RPG game project where you use the dev tools to solve puzzles! It’s about two friends who gain the ability to use these tools, and your friend has an existential crisis about being an NPC, and you have to stop him from destroying the game world in order to escape to the real world.

added a camera panning arrow for keyboard/controller mode, an indicator that points to your position when you go offscreen, and an effect for when you try to use a tool on an object that's immune to said tool.

Started adding the basics of interaction/cutscene branching based on the state of the world. made a test condition that is set to true when you walk onto that white square, which changes the dialog interaction.
