This obviously very stupid but is it also smart? We’ll talk to some liars after this break.

Why do I have to pretend that I'm going to print something in order to save it as a PDF. Why do I have to engage in a little ruse.

I’m ready to talk about the note card writing system at any time! I’d do it on YouTube but there’s already a dozen or more there!

Well said! There’s only one explanation for them not dialing back the lethal violence without any connection to the supposed purpose of the surge: _they_ are a terrorist organization.

I suppose arranging research by Chinese author would be a bit of a challenge; even the modern authors are unmanageable.

While I’ve got you, for decades modern Chinese lit scholars have been spoiled by the existence of the MCLC resource center, a comprehensive online English bibliography of modern Chinese culture. Sometimes when I want to do research relating to premodern, I wonder if there is a similar resource?

Thanks! I didn’t mean I hadn’t heard of it; I’m sure I’ve read several articles published there, only that I came to the realization that I haven’t been seeing publications in it on the CVs of people working on modern literature.

This journal is not usually on my radar; is it a premodern/modern thing?

The Emperor's Twin, by @benegotherit.bsky.social (pub by Talos Press) is a quite different proposal, a great dark space opera novel that uses its weirdness as a way to shine, delivering a worthy experience.

Okay but better lip service to create a culture than wordless acquiescence.

My YouTube Recap said my most-watched channel (based on how many of their videos I watched) was a channel I never heard of and whose content I’m not interested in at all. Must have been channel surfing and fell asleep while it ran through all the videos! My type ended up being the Wonder Seeker.

My parents were nuts about this too! I was so young when I saw it I don’t even remember it anymore.
