Not by violence, not by the abuse of governmental power, nor by acts of corporate cowardice. As a Guild, we stand united in opposition to anyone who uses their power and influence to silence the voices of writers, or anyone who speaks in dissent. If free speech applied only to ideas we like, we needn't have bothered to write it into the Constitution. What we have signed on to - painful as it may be at times - is the freeing agreement to disagree. Shame on those in government who forget this founding truth. FWIW a family member works in mental health and says she’s incredible in terms of supporting those who need reproductive and mental health help. Ie she cares quite a bit.
Hope @governor.ny.gov has a plan to make COVID vaccines available to people under 65.
Why on earth would we consign our younger citizens to repeated infection when we KNOW it puts them at risk of long COVID and cardiovascular problems.
I’m kinda tired of people (mostly white men) shaking their fists at the TV and complaining about “the Democrats “. What are you going to do to help save democracy.
Everyone pick ONE thing. Pick ONE race and focus on that. If everybody stops whining and does ONE thing maybe we can make a change.
