The highlander shopkeep that was taking notes turns to the Viera shopkeep and starts questioning her about the interaction she had earlier in the day. She has a snide yet friendly way with her questioning that indicates familiarity: "What happened with that customer-turned-vandal earlier? Vera of the Winter Wind made to turn redder than a rolanberry by a defacer's pleas for mercy? Have you turned tender, or is it that the mistress of stone is no match for the Warrior of Light's charm?". The flex in the highlander's brow says that she knows much more about the interaction with Mimi than the Viera, now known as Vera, would willingly admit.

Vera, still holding on to the broom, now has her turn to refute her coworker's claims: "You've well left your right mind if you think I've lost all my composure after simply being held by such svelte and tender hands while staring into an ocean of beauty and...wait. Did you say that was the Warrior of Light?". Vera's eyebrow turns at the revelation.

With a newfound mischief in her expression, Vera plots her next move, with her highlander coworker continually showing her suspicion on her face. Vera says: "Someone with a skillset of her caliber must be able to harness the full potential of the relic. I must pay her a visit in person tonight and apologize for being so short and unfair with her. Do you mind if I leave the shop a bit early? I must head to the Quicksand anon."

Vera walks off immediately while her coworker continues her work. The highlander's expression makes clear how exactly Vera intends to apologize. She says: "Yes madame Vera, do enjoy yourself...*sigh* that the Warrior of Light could turn the Frozen Stone of Ilsabard into the Sauna Rock of Ul'dah...she really is every bit the hero of the realm..."

The shopkeep quickly turns away to keep Mimi from seeing her blush. While Mimi keeps her head down, the shopkeep reassures Mimi: "P-Please, you needs not go to such lengths. I think we can come to a more reasonable arrangement.". Zoran has found himself in one of the shop's display cases somehow...

Mimi continues to stand bashfully while the shopkeep gives more reasonable options: "Might you come pay the shop a visit when we open in the morning next sun? You may well be able to lend me a hand to sort out the scythe. Do not worry, I do intend to have you be fairly reimbursed for your time."

Mimi and Zoran walk out of the shop with the shopkeep seeing them off. Zoran asks Mimi a few questions on the way out: "Ma'am, may I suggest bein' a wee bit more aware of yer span in future? Fer both fine goods and the populace's 'ands? Y've always been a smidge unawares of yer strength...". Mimi silently agrees.

Fast forward to a few hours later. The Viera shopkeep is sweeping the floor of the store while her fellow shopkeep tends to her notes.

Mimi now looks up into the shopkeep's emerald eyes, still clutching her hands tight: "I would work for you and yours without expectation of reimbursement until I may be in your good graces again! How many suns may this take? I'd be more than willing to lend my hammer for moons to make it right."

The view now pans to Mimi's perspective of the shopkeep. The Viera maintains her frustrated but also confused expression at being so suddenly held tight. Mimi continues: "I realize it may never be the way it once was...but I wish to make it up to you."

With the view now squarely of the shopkeep's perspective of Mimi, she looks into the Roegadyn's embarrassed but endearing face; her upturned eyebrows sitting atop her heterochromatic eyes, wishing to make her intent to be sincere clear. Mimi only says one word: "Please."

The view goes back to Mimi's perspective of the shopkeep, her expression now one of bewilderment and sudden shyness, and her cheeks slowly turn pink. The Viera stumbles over her words: "Well I...ah...I..."

From Mimi's perspective, the shopkeep points her finger squarely at Mimi and continues her tirade: "You have nary a hint of the value of this piece to me and my ancestors! To think you'd even let your hands wander within a fulm of it without thinking of the respect this scythe demands!"

Pivoting to the shopkeep's perspective, with her finger still aimed squarely at the fearful Roegadyn, the shopkeep continues to let her grievances be known: "How do you intend to rectify this situation!? This piece is priceless! No manner of gil or trade could possibly mend it to how it was before!"

Mimi quickly gets to her feet and bows to the shopkeep, aiming to quickly explain how she intends to expiate for her mistake. Zoran continues to look on, hiding behind the clothing rack but peeking over the tops of the shirts. Mimi says with a waver in her voice: "Madame...I...I...I'm..."

Mimi quickly grabs hold of the shopkeep's hands and gathers them into hers. She continues to look down at her feet in shame. Zoran is also shaking in his boots. Mimi breaks the silence by proclaiming: "I beg for your forgiveness! I only wished to examine its fine workmanship. I have contacts with the Lemures that led me to this beautiful example, so as to study its construction for my own smithing endeavours."

A savvy looking Viera shopkeep with sandstone-color skin and dusty blonde hair walks through the doorway, holding a shop ledger. She says: "I'd love to answer any question you may have. Pray do not hesitate to ask for-". She stops mid sentence as she notices Mimi crouched down in front of the broken scythe.

The shopkeep drops her ledger to the ground in shock as her view pans down to Mimi. She is able to finish her sentence: "...assistance." Her expression immediately changes from bright and welcoming to alert.

The view pans to a pov of the shopkeep looking at Mimi crouched down with the disconnected blade of the scythe at her feet. Mimi is surprised and frozen in place.

The shopkeep towers over Mimi with a stern look on her face. Zoran is hiding behind a nearby rack of clothes. The shopkeep starts to deride Mimi: "What is the meaning of this!? How dare you deface a precious heirloom of mine with your grubby hands!"

Mimi finally notices the mannequin holding the desired scythe. Mimi says: "Ah! Unless this is it!"

Mimi crouches down in front of the mannequin to more closely examine the blade of the scythe. She holds her hand out slightly to further examine the details. Mimi says: "Such fine craftsmanship! This is every bit the masterpiece I expected to find! Zoran, please ask the shopkeep who the curator of this fine weapon is. I'd love to talk in depth with-". Mimi is suddenly cut off mid-sentence.

The blade of the scythe disconnects from the staff of the scythe, falling to the ground with a loud clunk. Mimi can now finish her sentence. She says: "...them." after realizing that the scythe is now in pieces.

Both Mimi and Zoran both turn their heads to a doorway as a shopkeep walks into the showroom to see what the noise was. The shopkeep says: "What's that noise I hear? Eager customers?"

Meanwhile in Garlemald screen, except it's Meanwhile in Ul'dah, a month after the Lapis Manalis Expedition.

Mimi and her Hrothgar retainer Zoran are in an Ul'dah clothier, looking for an old scythe. Zoran says: "Let's see 'ere, we've got the goods from market, the wee gubbins for ma'am's projects, now we're 'ere for some fine thread, yeah? Ne'er been in this shop before."

Zoran and Mimi look over the goods on sale, not readily finding what they're after. Zoran says: "Odd 'rangement of rainments 'ere. Ishgardian garb in the middl'o Ul'dah. Ma'am, what d'ya reckon ye expected to find 'ere?"

Mimi wanders off to ponder whether they're at the right location. A mannequin of a Viera holding a scythe that Mimi has yet to notice stands before Mimi. Mimi says: "There was meant to be a vintage scythe kept as a display model here. I could've sworn this was the place that my contact spoke about...mayhap they moved location since we last spoke."
