Recognized a new pet peeve today: poor oral hygiene in PEG patients.

Just because someone is no longer taking food by mouth, doesn't mean you stop brushing their teeth! Oral health is important for everyone!

Relatedly, not all anemia is GI bleed! (Please look at the MCV)

Sometimes, the patient benefits the least from endoscopy...

Small bowel bleeding is one of the trickiest GI pathologies to treat IMO. This is a very practical approach!
