This brought joy to my day. 🥰
A reminder that there’s good people doing great things in our communities.
I hear you. But time is also money, hence the dilemma!
This literally made me lol because, the reality!!
I’m always amazed at the storytelling in gospel music, the ability of the choir to remain calm and always on beat, the pianist/organist changing on a dime depending on where the solo is going…SO much going on. 🥰
This is not good.
The fact that I had to question if this was real or AI is terrifying.
Post an iconic horror movie image
I LOVE the “thanks, dude” look as he trots off. 🥰
I appreciate the hardline questioning of the former DHS secretary, but I am greatly distressed that people are out here castrating goats.
No.
Roman Polanski…that says it all…
Ahh. I get the reference, but it’s hard to watch…just like our country right now…
Oh my goodness what the heck is this violent movie???
Rent free! His jealousy of Obama literally drives many of his decisions.
My entire life the systematic murder and incarceration of Black people has been a daily norm that just runs in the background of American life and has been perpetuated by every major institution and publication and when you talk to or about Black folks you need to take into account that context
Thank you for reporting on all the latest updates. I feel like I have a trusted, direct source.
It’s been one interesting Black History Month!!
Pro tip: check out what Black people are mad about. You should be mad at the same things we are. Not fighting us not to be mad about them. That's poor form for some "freedom fighters."
Black People,
You cannot educate the willfully ignorant.
You cannot convince the deliberately obtuse.
You cannot shame the perpetually shameless.
You cannot be peaceful with the historically violent.
Protect your peace.
Just block them and go about your merry way.
So true yet so hard to do!!
Umm…missing the point. The point is “It's not okay how a bunch of non-Black people have insisted to Black people that having slurs shouted at them, and then broadcast, as they are being honored is no big deal.”
I’m always amazed at the capacity to be offended at being CALLED a racist, and not the same self-awareness of actually BEING racist.
If I had a dollar for every time in my life a marginalized white person thought that it was their place to teach me a lesson about a perceived transgression by doing something anti-Black
this is a white supremacist move by the way, to turn to the leaver of power available to you
Exactly. They’re not even suspicions, they’re red flags and alerts to what we’ve seen before.
“things that bother them in life”??? This is much more than a “things that bother “. As someone else put it, if a person in a wheelchair accidentally rolls over someone’s toe, expecting an apology is not unreasonable. Even though it wasn’t intentional, it still hurt.
I also find it interesting that you’re not acknowledging her spelling of “Black” vs your spelling of “black”. Maybe listen more, argue less. Trying so hard to make your point only confirms the point of the cartoon.
This is an excellent take - pitting ableism against racism.
“Please learn something…” That about says it all. “Go learn something, black woman!” (lowercase intentional)
This needs more likes.
