On the other side, Koduck turns into Golduck, and Golbat is also an end evolution with a similar name. Some of the early Pokemon names are rather less inspired than the designs lol

We’ve also found a Pokemon in early betas/development docs named Raitora, a thunder tiger. Very cute, so is the pre-evolution Kotora, which shares Ko “child” with Koduck (Psyduck in English). There’s also Raikou “thunder lord”, which in the same betas looks more like a jackal, interestingly.
