I mean, I'll watch it if they make it, but not sure we need further takes on Kirk and Spock. And some of us have warmed up to some SNW specific characters like Ortegas, that may or may not be involved in this.

I love how the Star Trek TNG pilot is like this richly imaginative piece of science fiction with interplanetary politics, interesting characters, a trickster god, giant alien jellyfish, philosophy, a dash of fan service...
And then the next episode is βData fucksβ
Picard tells his opponent in this Zoom call, that the alternative would be...
... to continue firing at one another.
And, not to sound too threatening, but his opponent would come out worse in such a contest.
His opponent Gul Macet, is contemplating the situation and reevaluating the life choices that led him to this point. Gul Macet looks a lot like DS9 Gul Ducat. Those Cardassians all look the same if you ask me.
Star Trek, The Next Generation, S4 E12
Before Marc Alaimo was Gul Ducat, he was Gul Macet. He tried picking a fight with Picard, which went exactly as you'd expect.

A somewhat displeased Seven replies: "I don't have a love life"

Quark has annoyed Lwaxana Troy. Big Mistake. Although in his defence he didn't know what who he was up against. But as Lwaxana is currently grabbing and pulling his ears, Quark is learning, fast.
Quark: "not the ears!" Lwaxana: "I know where it hurts the most, you little troll"

A black-and-white close-up portrait of John Colicos. He faces slightly toward the camera with a calm, attentive expression. His short dark hair is neatly trimmed, and he has thick eyebrows and a clean-shaven face. He wears a collared shirt with the top button open beneath a darker jacket. The softly blurred background suggests an indoor setting, keeping the focus on his face.
John Colicos was the first man to portray a Klingon on Star Trek.
He was a veteran of the Stratford Festival.
He acted in The National Dream, voiced Apocalypse on X-Men: The Animated Series and much more.
This is his story.

Iβm looking for speakers for a London event on the science of Star Trek. Iβd really appreciate suggestions from underrepresented minorities in STEM, especially PoC/global majority.
(10 min, central London, Sept, currently unpaid but Iβm trying to fix that)
Feel free to message

60 years of Star Trek has unequivocally told us that all women in space are hot.
Ralph Offenhouse, super rich person from the 21st century that survived into the 24th through cryosleep, is pestering Picard who is heading into a confrontation with the Romulans. Picard tells him "We are in a very serious..."
"... and potentially dangerous situation."
Offenhouse tells him "I'm sure whatever it is seems very important to you..."
"... but my situation is far more critical". We can't see Picard's face in this screenshot, but as I recall, we was not amused.

Leaders of other countries talking to Trump.
Tom Paris has suggested one of his usual silly suggestions, demonstrating why he was demoted to ensign. Twice. Nevertheless, Janeway says: "I think it's a great idea".
A bemused Tom Paris asks: "You do?", while an equally bemused Harry Kim stands next to him speechless.
Tuvok, who would also seem bemused if Vulcans were capable of expressing bemusement, also asks Janeway: "You do?"

The best part is how dispassionate Data is about the whole affair. He's interested in clicking on his pad, and has no interest in kicking his ass, which he does regardless.
Always laughed at this Klingon trying to head butt Data in Ten Forward and getting nearly knocked out for his attempt lol

I'd argue for Archer higher on this list. Picard and Sisko seemed more keen on winning battles and saving the Federation as a whole (and proved good at it). They dealt with individuals only when they had to. I believe Picard simply delegated the whole line management thing to Troy and Riker.
Trek Captains ranked by how good a line manager they are:
1. Pike
2. Janeway
3. Picard
4. Sisko
5. Archer
6..Kirk
This is the most seamless one. I really can't tell that Elmo is photo-shopped in.
In the Voyager holodeck, within the Forest of Foerver, we see the children's fairy tale character Flotter standing with his hands on his hips. Young Naomi Wildman stands to the right of him, while a dumbfounded Elmo (of Sesame Street) stands to the right of her.

Phlox tells a potential human date: "I have 3 current wives"
"And they each have 2 husbands". His potential human date is flabbergasted.
You'd expect this from a monogamous person. Phlox should go "I was looking for a 4th wife actually"
