Yep! They have allowed three SHGs in a single game 5
times so would guess itβs happened a few other times. Still not good ha!
Happened at least one other time, April 7, 2006, allowed two on the same power play against Carolina. They also allowed another for good measure later in the game.
I want to say they have, but that likely was when they were in the expansion era when anything was possible. But will check.
Bucco Bruces.
The Boston⦠patriots.
Thanks, yes, itβs not good for anyone if this happens. Crazy to think not long ago there were 3 beat writers.
With the Washington Post Sports department possibly facing massive budget cuts, the paperβs history with the Capitals dating back to the teamβs first game could be in for a major change: x.com/tedstarkey/s...
Was a fun time to look back at a Cap who scored a lot of significant goals in his time in DC.
This year? The standings are so weird that the Capitals are six out of first overall in the East despite being in 12th place. Normal year six out is probably third in the division.
Mascot Express.
Itβs little surprise that a lot of team are going back to those looks.

No Wayne or Gary. Pfft.
Sabres were actually good when they were the home whitesβ¦
Indeed. Such a great app. Shame itβs zombified.
Thereβs a lot to be said that Toronto took off when Vlad Jr. signed, and the Nats took off when Harper left. Need that distraction out the door.
Playing one forward and five goalies is the future, Joe.
The Capitals and Hershey are celebrating 20 years of affiliation this season, and it made for a uniquely anticipated preseason game at Giant Center. hockeyhotstove.com/capitals-20-...

Yep, they clearly didnβt care if they dragged the team down waiting for their asking price to be met. Although devaluing your product certainly doesnβt help long term either.
Itβs amazing how low the Lerner stock has gone. They donβt even have the MASN dispute excuse anymore.
Yep. Itβs small market payroll at big market prices!
Yep. And in a way winning the 2019 WS seemed to satisfy their bucket list and then decided they didnβt need to do it again. Team was hell bent on winning before, and now barely cares to finish .500.
Yep, and the guys who turned out decent in the Soto deal are already on the block. Difference between 2012 and now is at least the Nationals spent money to bolster the young lineup. Now they seem committed to pushing the reset button. Again.
Thatβs the thing about rebuilds. Itβs easy to start. Not easy to get out of it.
I remember with the Scherzer deal people were confident theyβd be back by 2025. (Checks calendar)
(And I just saw your post after the last one ha.)
Theyβre working on becoming the Buffalo Sabres of MLB.
