I'm an indie comic artist, who is getting ready to digitally launch the new issue of my dark fantasy/horror/urban fantasy comic!

Even worse, a lot of Trans people are not in a position to leave financially and otherwise.

I would rather be talking about happy things. But this is an insidious campaign of misinformation and cruelty, it has no other point except distraction from the actual criminals.

Three different Trans friends, all creatives, productive, well-loved people with years in our communities told me they feel they have no choice but to leave the USA for their safety.

They have to start again because of bigot scum, the worst people in our country.

ECCC was fun and I had a wonderful time.

But there was a storm cloud. When I complained about Trump with my white straight cis friends, we were all sincere and concerned.

But I talked with many Trans friends, and it’s so much worse. They are in fear for their lives.

I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

Art can fill a gap between what we see and what we want, and that can be important during times like these

Also, I am eager to draw Claire in this leather and lace, studded, almost gladiatrix-flavored minidress.

And just a good deal of revealing, sensual outfits as well. With an almost gothic grunge vibe to the slip-dresses accented with filigree and more floral motifs.

The use of florals is also very much speaking my langauge.

The maxi-dresses, with their flared trails at the end, give an almost ghost-like impression. There's a drama to it that I love.

There are many obvious ways that this law and others like it are very bad but there is one additional aspect related to child privacy, consent, and safety that isn't fully being explored and that is relevant to A LOT of the far right laws and policies on children, gender & sexuality.

H.R. 7661 would harm so many publishers, authors, and readers. Only the smallest sliver of human experience would make it onto shelves. If you think kids deserve the world, you are against this bill - please read this article and call your reps.
