Today marks the 61st anniversary of βBloody Sunday,β which occurred on March 7, 1965, a pivotal moment in the American Civil Rights Movement. During a peaceful march in Selma, AL, demonstrators were brutally attacked by state troopers. This event led to the passage of the Voting Rights Act of 1965.
Dick Grayson took tragedy, turned it into empathy, and then did a triple backflip about it. Happy anniversary to the best sidekick-turned-hero in the DC Universe.
