Scapegoating investors may be politically satisfying, as is often the case. It also distracts from the actual binding constraint: America doesn’t build enough homes, people! Fix that, and Wall Street’s role will shrink on its own: www.aei.org/economics/am...

A lot of otherwise confusing relationship configurations seem to be built off of asexual people not IDing as such. My theory, fwiw, is that a non-trivial portion of the male incel world is actually asexual young men not being able to deal w/ being ace and resorting to performative misogyny instead.

Samuel Hahnemann Memorial (U.S. National Park Service)
It's interesting, btw, how the National Park Service describes the memorial today. They say that "his methods gained popularity in Europe and the United States" (true) but also that "Modern medical consensus holds that homeopathic remedies have no demonstrated efficacy." www.nps.gov/places/000/d...

I think about this issue every time I walk past Massachusetts & Rhode Island Aves in D.C., where there's a monument to Samuel Hahnemann, the creator of homeopathy. His system was popular and influential when the memorial was created in 1900. (Its dedication was attended by President McKinley.)
