(I wouldn't say that radicalized me because I already felt this kind of way, but it DID solidify a lot of what I already felt!)

Where I worked was very pretty to look at, so the governor gave press conferences there pretty regularly during COVID. I remember at least one time being like "someone should ask him what we should do if we need to intubate someone while he's here, since we're out of vents."
Oooooh, these are soooo pretty π
I'm just going to share this everywhere because I am that raccoon you are that raccoon we are all that raccoon!
I mean, Amber is absolutely a great millennial girl name!
Ugggghhh and those are just The Things That Happen.
I am much in favor of these 30-45 minute scheduled downtimes that are often done in 15 mins, versus the 3-4 hour scheduled downtimes that usually ran ~5 hours when I started!
Exact same experience. They are so much more efficient, which is less time for everything to go haywire.
I remember one of the first downtimes I experienced there was a sizable shooting nearby and suddenly we were in downtime and the ERs were stressed (note - this was NOT a trauma center!)
I should actually get mine checked and make sure I am good now that I have been taking 5000 units daily (night shift baby! When it was checked before I took any regularly, I was promptly prescribed 50k units three times weekly π¬)
That's so awesome! Admittedly, I chose to move to where I did last year, so it was kind of self-selecting, but it was still so good for my soul to see it all out in the wild.
Almost every business around here has signs along those lines.
To the point that the absence is conspicuous when they don't.
And if you need some....

Yeah but then Fall Back is the WORST
My ex would get pissed off that I made more money than he did, at the time I worked at a software company and he was in an entry position in healthcare.
To the point that I didn't tell him when I got a raise. I knew that was messed up.
And it still took me longer than it should have to leave.
It's probably been in the 8-10 year time frame for me. I should probably visit soon.
Also they definitely have more locations than last time I looked!
Gosh it's been so long since I had Dibella's.
I feel like it is a crime how many cute dresses have spaghetti strap tops.
And last time I was in the neighborhood I grew up in - an area notorious for gray and dreary days most of the year - it was sunny and pretty? In December?
I was talking to my best friend from high school about it and she was like "this is why my dad believes in climate change now."
It alarms me to the point I need to actually take breaks from thinking about it to be functional.
This was my first winter in Minnesota, and yeah, it was cold, but not NEARLY as bad as anticipated. It was generally pretty mild with some cold portions. I uh, don't think that's normal.
I have to wonder if maybe she was on amlodipine-benazepril and couldn't take an ACEi for whatever reason but then she saw besylate and was like "no I can't take that" because it started with B?
Nothing else makes sense to me.
Holy smokes it's so pretty! π
I was so sad they were announced for days that I work but was considering seeing if I could trade for a day off.
A messy computer desk, with a monitor with Rimworld on it in the background. A white with orange cat has plonked himself on the desk in front of the monitor, partially obscuring the view of the game.
I am just trying to play some video games and suddenly my screen got so fuzzy!
Illustration of a small black cat with large white eyes sitting on a grassy field. The background is a textured sky blending bluish-gray tones with abstract warm orange shapes layered across it. The text above reads: βItβs almost never about being fully ready. Itβs mostly about being brave enough to try and choose courage anyway.β
Every time I put my retainers in these days I think "I need to wear these more often"
(I need to set up the cleaner I got for them so it's really easy to clean them because the issue is they seemed kinda gross and I haven't been able to get past that)
Gaaaaaaaah
Yes. Yes I did.
A friend of mine has that set as his text message sound on his phone.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's never enough time with them π
Checked my registration in Florida regularly leading up to elections. I was never purged, but I knew people who were.
When I got my driver's license in Minnesota the guy at the DMV was like "no we make registration super easy here, we WANT people to vote" and it was just... So refreshing.
This is the kind of posting I follow you for.
