i was shocked when i found out a friend who is a teacher (NS) had a Registry List for basic stuff for her class, because their was a limit on how much she was able to spend of her own money. Tim Houston is just a Doug clone
the other advantage i found of a good transit system is flexibility.
It was a nice day, i could walk some or all the way (5km commute)
Needed some groceries, get off a stop early to pick fresh stuff- much less waste.
except it you allow right on red at same time, since local drivers now know they are safe from any of those damaging 2 ton metal weapons coming though . Pedestrians will get out of the way.
if they did anything it would likely increase the wait time and reduce the crossing time.
people are always surprised when i tell them the button they pressed is just for the visually impaired sound signal, nothing different in cycle.
but just to mess me up, my city planner introduced a brand new "safer" signalled intersection where if i don't press I don't even get a Walking signal 😡
Will i still be able to collect my pension once i moved to a city that should more concerns?

We can all agree that I'd look fantastic on a £5 note
many runners in the cemetery go faster than that
" disproportionately impacting rural parts of the province"
checks electoral map of Nova Scotia
Mount Pleasant Cemetery has a 30 km/h posted driving speed and a 10 km/h bicycle speed.
Makes perfect sense.
"54 per cent believe the promotion of gender equality has reached the point of discriminating against men"
yikes
it's also just next to existing green space and parks.
just add an active transportation access to Shubie at the north end
It’s been over a decade since I had a run of Canadian dates, so I’m excited to be playing shows from Halifax to Winnipeg this summer – with a short excursion down to the US to play a set of Mermaid Avenue songs with Wilco at Solid Sound.

hey, they show up to all the hours Tim says is required by the Job. He's the boss
I saw MLAs at the one of the protest. pretty sure they have a job
"lunch break"
which is a valid concern, so how many community gardens will the city require the builder adds.
this city needs more allotments
one of my favourite odd street
A wooden fence displays a variety of artworks, including paintings and decorative pieces, alongside a snowy path. Leafless trees are visible in the background under a clear blue.

How much for the Cricket ground? 😜
guy is a Single issue voter: "Him". and this is someone whose every job have been paid directly by taxpayers.
still reminds me of my "favourite" Conservative voter who in the same conversation would go from:
"Why do my taxes need to help homeless?" 20 minutes later "Why do I have to pay airport taxes when I fly?"
and be totally unaware.
More than three years as a city councillor and it still amazes me that every meeting on every topic turns into an argument about parking. It’s exhausting.
what fascinates me is that these are the people who would be first to yell if we cut anything they use/enjoy that is heavily supported by my tax money.
I'm worried about e-bike crackdowns, so I looked at all the options. Can we find a better way forward?

to be honest, just the fact it got to there is funny enough for me. though a dilemma end of game would be hilarious from a conspiracy stand point
i guess the obvious question is:
Was the thrower wearing pants? 😜
Someone threw eggs at high schoolers who walked out of school protesting the provincial cuts today on Herring Cove Road.
and asphalt.... don't forget asphalt, but just for drivers .....
this is happiness.
