Also they cut out the dedicated bus lanes in the places where there's congestion.... Which is where you need bus lanes the most!

A secret underground assumption-of-power ceremony for a Democratic Socialist administered by AG Letitia James at midnight seems custom built to trigger the worst kind of people in the best kind of way, and I for one am here for it
ACC got us into this mess with their ridiculous tie breaker formula that let a team with no chance at making CFP in the title game.
After conference record should go straight to most recent CFP ranking to break ties.
Sorry, there's no way this counts as a Christmas Ornament.
It's clearly an action ornament, that you just happen to use at Christmastime.
This is one smug-ass looking Humpty Dumpty. No wonder they still sing songs of his downfall
Obviously we know who this is going to, but Infantino does have an opportunity here to do the funniest thing in the world
Lol, in 3 years everybody in Louisiana is gonna be ranting about how illegal immigrants somehow destroyed SEC football
Crusades have been launched over less
Oh sure the concept is fine just the name cracked me up. Next they'll have "forensics country" and "lawyer country"
My favorite is they had a show called "fire country," which is a sensible name for a show presumably set in a place with lots of wildfires.
Then they spun off from that to create a show called "sheriff country" 😂
At the same time as they watch the GOP base get led from outrage to outrage on topics they'd never thought about 6 months earlier, like rats to the Pied Piper.
Now they sit back and whine "maybe we just need better podcasters on our side"
I love it for the behind the scenes look, the only downside is it takes away the potential drama of the announcement of a big review decision
It doesn't help that every time Schumer and Jeffries speak they sound like they're just trying to win a college debate and can't meaningfully convey the critical importance of *anything*
Who was the most interesting and/or fun person you've ever interviewed?
Best Miami assistant coach of all time?
Predictions for the current Canes roster:
-longest NFL career?
-biggest improvement from now till they leave UM?
-highest draft pick?
-most TDs this year?
Interesting stuff, thanks. Although I do wish you had found a Guildenstern to chat with instead of this McNoldy fellow.
But at least he works at the U 🙌!
It was, but they should turn it off for day games where it's less than ninety degrees out. I want some time to enjoy a nice day at the ballpark.
I'm all for using the best technology available to help spot the ball on every play as long as it's seamless.
But then if it's debatable whether that spot is enough for a first down... You better trot that damn chain gang out. The suspense is unbeatable
Wish you could mute specific images as easily as words
That's what I was really struck by in the month I paid for Ancestry. Like am I really paying you to let me do data tagging and confirmation for your ML algorithms?
"guys it's gonna get down to -3 after the sun goes down, don't forget to wear a warm coat." 😅
Fahrenheit accords extreme temperatures with extreme numbers.
F is like grading warmth, if you're failing you need a jacket, good grades you're sweating. Is there any other human scale to compare C to?
Sure, in the same way I can eyeball how many feet away something is and feel how far it would be to walk a mile.
But I won't sit here and argue 12 inches to a foot and 5280 ft to a mile is as good of a system as 100mm=1m, 1000m=1km.
"Check on your elderly neighbors it's pushing 40 out there" 🙄
The fundamental reason is that we use a 0-100 scale in so many applications for so long that we have a latin shorthand for it. Where else do you have a -10 to 40 scale that feels intuitive?
Weather is where most people deal with temperatures in their daily lives, and F is a better scale for it
Yes we need one that does frogs and insect sounds as well
Screenshot from the Merriam Webster dictionary article on "dyed in the wool" phrase, with the key portion being "In the 19th-century U.S., the wool-dyeing practice put eloquent Federalist orator Daniel Webster in mind of a certain type of Democrat whose attitudes were as unyielding as the dye in unspun wool. Of course, Democrats were soon using the term against their opponents, too, but over time the partisanship of the expression faded and it is now a general term describing anyone or anything that seems unlikely or unwilling to change."
I was wondering why the first line is a laugh line and I'm guessing it's a reference to this, seem plausible?
I can't get over those cute lil numbers on the y-axis
This area is in desperate need of pedestrian crossing improvements anyway so this seems like a good plan
I'm guessing it's a Sinclair station?
