Watercolour study of a black berkshire pig in a muddy field
Pig facial expressions are hard! π
This became a bit of a mess. Day 15 & 17 of #the100dayproject2026 Watercolour study of Mars the Berkshire boar - also pretty difficult drawing a black pig against a black muddy field - not solved that yet. π

Looking up at an overcast sky through the bare branches of winter trees. Very sus, would not recommend.
Day 11 of #The100DayProject is a photo I took on our walk earlier today.
We went off the beaten path and between the ominous sky and the fact we saw two different elevated storm drains I was half expecting an Eldritch horror to jump out at any given moment.

Day 12 #the100dayproject.
This is an art piece I did today with my students when I was teaching Mindful Intuitive Painting @avenueroadartsschool. I used, watercolour and inks and collage to create this floral painting.

Magdalena Abakanowicz Abakan Red, large hanging woven sculpture with yellow and orange sculpture hanging near in the same space
Eileen Agar, the Bird, painting of colourful patterned dove with egg shapes in many colours over laid.
Louise Bourgeois, drawing, red line drawing of flowers and stems
Emily Dickinson, envelope poem. Hand writing on fragment of cream coloured envelope.
#internationalwomensday 4 artists I return to again and again as a constant source of inspiration. Abakanowicz for form, Agar for colour, Bourgeois for line and Dickinson for voice. #art #womenartists #poetry #drawing #sculpture #painting
Lol! π
Love the perspective
Colored pencil drawing of red tulips taken from below the flowers looking up. They're against a bright blue sky with the bare branches of a tree in the background.

Day 9 of #the100DayProject - today was all about perseverance. The number of times I wanted to scrunch this up and throw it away? So many. But I finished.
This one is all colored pencils, which is probably why it was so frustrating.
Also RIP to that one blue pencil. π

Small square with a snowflake-like print in black, that has petals and hearts. The design hangs off the edges in several places. It is painted in spring colors of pink, lime, tangerine, and blue.
#the100dayproject day 20
"It's under an inch and a half, how long can it take?"
As it turns out, 2.5 hours from design, to carving, to turning the kitchen upside down looking for the stupid stamp pad, to printing and discovering it's still too big, to watercolors. Good thing there was no rush.
Watercolor and colored pencils - a forest path with fireflies
Day 8 of #The100DayProject is actually from yesterday - had to let it totally dry before removing the tape.
It's from a Let's make Art tutorial - I want to practice trees and also darker watercolors.
I went back in with colored pencils, natch.

an illustration in a limited colour palette of 2 shades of green, brown, and hot pink with a lightly green/taupe-ish background. The illustration depicts an elf with a medium skin tone, wearing striped shorts, pink shoes, and a backpack, staring up in amazement at giant blooming flowers. The flowers are drawn in an abstracted style but they resemble coneflowers with petals surrounding a spiky middle. There are abstracted smaller flowers and sprouts making up the background of the image, and there is a border depicting budding flowers, leaves, and daisy-like blooms.

Lovely sketch of a lovely singer!
Here is my portrait sketch for today in watercolour- who do you think it is? #The100DayProject
I didn't even notice! I do like this drawing/painting.
A table is set with painting supplies - a cloth bag, a water cup with a bush perched across the top, a closed palette. Against the palette is leaning a small square watercolor of a table with painting supplies - a water cup, an open palette with a rainbow of colors. A pale hand is holding a paintbrush that is painting a purple swish on a small square watercolor.
#the100dayproject day 19, in which I try out water in a piston-filling brush fountain pen. As anticipated, I like it better than the squeezy kind of water brush.
