First MOT (in my ownership) done! Amazed it’s already been a year since I got it. Flew through, as you’d hope.

I’ve had a crack at presenting. It’s tricky, and I’ve much to learn, but I’m proud of this as a first effort. Very cool car too – really excited to see how Peugeot develops steer-by-wire going forward. youtu.be/alyClDdIf7Q?...
Spotted at the Museum of Brands in Notting Hill. Is there any car more worthy as a Smith and Sniff-mobile than a Brut Capri, @sniffpetrol.com?
Ha, thank you. Couldn’t help myself!
Aaand it’s back! Clean, too
Dropped off for a service and new discs/pads all round. Looking forward to having it back in full fitness
Fair play. My old Panda wouldn’t have coped!
Haven’t driven the MX-5 in about six weeks, for reasons. Just went to check it’d start ahead of getting it serviced tomorrow, and it fired up right away without any issues. Love it!
First review of the year! Shame it's an underwhelming one www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/g...

Been kicking about in this Alpine A290 today. Really rather like it – darty enough to make some fun out of running around London. Shame it’s so inefficient given the small battery. Feels like the sort of thing that could be *really* good with some more finessing
I don’t think I would have it minded being so slow if it were at enjoyable to hustle, but that engine is SO flat in its delivery. All the enthusiasm of a shop assistant on Christmas Eve.
Nowhere near as charismatic as the old 1.2. Decent for those who simply don’t care for going quickly, mind.
Particularly happy with these Fiat 500 and Kia EV5 reviews, so please do give them a read...

It's been a long (LONG) time since I posted on here, but I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. So, a brief professional update, for the nobody who cares: I've been dipping my toes into reviewing new stuff, alongside all the news and such I normally do.
Interesting to see the Metro finishing behind the car it was meant to replace! Shocked by the Astra's position, too, given that car's following today
Spec II, rather, not A-Spec!
If you’re emulating, I’d highly recommend giving the A-Spec mod for GT4 a go. Adds a lot of modern quality-of-life stuff and adds a couple of cars from special versions of the game (like the NC MX-5!), plus a few new events and such. Keeps it feeling fresh.
Thank you! I’m over the moon with it – just brilliant in every way. Just wish I had the means to buy out the finance and get to modding it…
Weeks after buying my MX-5, Wales, convoying with a bunch of mates. Got to a particularly twisty bit of road and hit my first ever (successful) heel-toe downshift without even thinking about it. Not sure I’ve been so immersed in a drive before – just goes to show what a great car can do!
I love this car.
I’ve now had my MX-5 for a couple of weeks. Can quite comfortably say I’m over the moon with it. Does everything well: inner London commutes, motorways, country lanes, tight car parks… it goes on. Absolutely addicted to the noise it makes around 3k revs. Love it.
Completely forgot to post on here – my new wheels!! It is by far the silliest purchase I’ve ever made, but I’m already head over heels for it. Looks especially good with gratuitous Instagram filters 😅
Panda goes off to its new home in a couple of hours. I’ll miss its joyful (and sometimes temperamental) character, but it’s time to call it quits. I at least get the excitement of a new car tomorrow!
Suboptimal indeed. I keep telling myself that it’s better the devil I know, though!
Cheers mate! It’s up with Fettle & Finesse at the mo, going to collect it (and formulate a plan) tomorrow. All really comes down to the cost – sills, rear beam and a full suspension refresh are probably the bigguns, and I can’t imagine that’s cheap
The Panda’s been at a specialist for an inspection. Report is, err, not good. Basically the whole underside is rotten (subframes, rear axle, almost the full exhaust) and there are various other fun issues, like the total absence of bump stops. I sense a mahoosive bill coming
Sat on some more bikes. Quite like this Enfield Himalayan 450 – looks great and handily tall, but still low enough for a shortarse like me. Seems quite cheap too, at £5k new
A tiny selection of Retromobile highlights
And yes, I was looking at MX-5s previously. Until I was reminded I can’t take my nephew (who’s 3 and utterly car mad) out in one. Oops
Thinking about moving on from the Panda this year. Thinking something more refined on a long motorway run but still a sensible size, and plenty quick for the odd track day. Budget (most likely to be) around £8k. These Meganes have caught my eye, but am I missing anything obvious?
