I have heard people say that it has some issues with loads of tweets on the free version. From what I understand, just coming back the next day allowed them to keep deleting where it left off.
I know people like using redact . dev to delete their posts. The free version allows you to remove twitter posts.

The story mode is so slow burn, but it's worth it.
