The Blue Marble, taken by Harrison Schmitt of the Apollo 17 crew in 1972. The original photograph was taken with the South Pole facing the top; however, this version is the most widely distributed.
53 years ago, on the 7th of December 1972, the last Apollo mission was launched. The famous 'The Blue Marble' picture was taken by members of the crew as they left earth. The Apollo 17 mission ended on December 19th. On board were Eugene Cernan, Ronald Evans and Harrison Schmitt. #otd #history ποΈ

π¨BREAKING: Last night the Global Sumud Flotilla was attacked by drones - again.
British-Palestinian journalist Kieran Andrieu was aboard one of the ships.
Despite these attacks the flotilla sails on, because the mission is too important.
Journalists like @mathildamall.bsky.social are aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla.
Their mission is simple: deliver food, medicine and other essentials to Palestinians in occupied Gaza, who are still trapped under Israelβs unlawful blockade.

marinapurkiss β’ β’ I just watched aid workers bombed live on TV as they tended to the wounded at a Gazan hospital that had been bombed just moments before. The bullshit concept of a "rules-based order" Of International law And the notion that the West holds any moral high ground ...dies with those brave souls.

Netanyahuβs Gaza City outrage fulfils his messianic fantasy of a Greater Israel. The world must stop him | Nimer Sultany
Israel needs to be stopped. They have squeezed the remaining population into 12% of Gaza. They are murdering starving people queuing for food with white flags. They are sending in armoured demolition companies to destroy every single building in Gaza. They have murdered every highly qualified doctor/surgeon to prevent them treating victims - mostly kids. This is the most clearly planned GENOCIDE imaginable. And the Zionists will say "prove it" - and the whole world can see it even though they've murdered every journalist in Gaza and banned any more from entering.
