What kind? maybe a lit major can help :) A real out there suggestion is "A swim in the pond in the rain" a collection of 6 russian short stories and then the authors breaks those stories down and teaches you how to write like that win-win

I got the bug during lockdown. Here's a tip, you don't have to remember theory just the plans. If you have a plan, and the computer/opponent doesn't. You win :) Because they're always busy responding to your threats. Keep punching them till knockout

I am not yet admitted into a PHD yet just qualified the national exam and have been trying to get in somewhere, Ill probably do it in English Literature with some philosophy mixed in. I really like locecraftian horror and i love this 'weird fiction' subgenre that thomas ligotti writes in.

Of Mice and Men- John Steinbeck is a classic and a very short novella
Crime and punishment- by Fyodor Dostoevsky is amazing if you like psychological stories

try Maus! if you want a gut wrenching Graphic Novella
