How To Fake It in Society by K.J. Charles is one of the author's best works. It's a fun and mostly light-hearted romp with some really great characters, and a romance that had me glued to my ereader. ππππππ pagesandpothos.blog/post/8101666...

Top left, a deal announcement. "Dana Chidiac while at Dial acquired world rights to Kiss the Boy by Adib Khorram (l) in his graphic novel debut, illustrated by debut illustrator Ria Martinez, a romantic tale of soul-binding love between a half-human, half-merfolk boy and the handsome, all-too-human stranger whose life is accidentally interwoven with his. Ellen Cormier will edit; publication is scheduled for spring 2027. Molly O'Neill represented the author, and the illustrator represented themself." L: Adib, a bald man smiling at the camera; R, Ria, non-binary with black hair gazing at the camera. Bottom right, an illustration of Dylan, a merfolk with a blue and yellow tail hanging out of a bathtub filled with bubbles; he is listening to headphones, and more music notes in bubbles float toward the sky. Text reads KISS THE BOY COMING SPRING 2027.
It's true!! @riadoodles.bsky.social and I are doing a graphic novel. It's got gay SPLASH vibes. Or gay LITTLE MERMAID vibes. Also I was listening to THE UNTAMED soundtrack a lot so there's plenty of pining and soulful gazes. And people, Ria's illustrations are SO GOOD. You are not ready!
This May we are getting BOTH a new Murderbot book by @marthawells.com , AND a new Radch universe book by @annleckie.com ! It's time to get excited. www.thefrumiousconsortium.net/2026/02/18/s...

Thirty Love by Tom Vellner is an incredible MM sports romance coming in March. It has fantastic characters, a great growth ARC, and a slowburn rivals-to-friends-to-lovers romance. I highly recommend this one! ππππππ

Interacting meant talking, and eye contact. I could already feel my performance capacity dropping.
Please buy books that are coming out this year.
Doesnβt have to be mine. But there is a stellar release calendar this year especially of Black writers and it would be a shame if one of the fascist victories was people not buying those books (from the indies that are in the fight with us). #BookSky

I loved The Wolf and His King by Finn Longman. It's a beautifully written queer romantic fantasy that comes out next week. A slowburn werewolf!knight/king romance with stunning prose. I could see this being one of my favorites of the entire year! ππππππ

3 books at once right now but currently digging this one about a lesbian vampire hunter falling for her vampire roommate. It has a real Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibe!
E.M. Anderson's The Lord of the Wood and The Keeper of Lonely Spirits against a starry night background, above a link: ElizMAnderson(dot)Com(slash)Links. The Lord of the Wood's cover is teal with a stag of flowers and foliage growing from a twisted tree with flowers growing around it and black ooze dripping from a branch overhead. the title "The Lord of the Wood" is in large white serif text to the left, with foliage growing through the letters closest to the tree, and the author "E.M. Anderson" is in all-caps yellow text at the bottom. the tagline, in smaller yellow text, reads, "Even a beastly woodland protector needs saving..." The Keeper of Lonely Spirits's cover features a lonely cottage, surrounded by headstones, with smoke drifting from the chimney, atop a tall green hill dotted with trees and yellow flowers. the title "The Keeper of Lonely Spirits" is centered in all-caps sans-serif yellow text, with "E.M." Anderson in smaller white text at the bottom. Tagline in still smaller text at the top reads, "Living forever can be mighty lonesome."
"When lonely clockmaker Arthur Throckmorton loses his way in an enchanted forest, he meets the hero of his childhood bedtime stories: the Lord of the Wood. But instead of the mythical figure of his dreams, the Lord of the Wood is a grim man turning into a beast and losing power over a dying forest. If they canβt save the forest before he becomes a beast completely, Arthur will lose the man he's falling forβand never see his family again." Text is in a textbox against a murky image of a forest, with the cover of E.M. Anderson's The Lord of the Wood below the text, all against a dark teal background with gold curlicues in the corners.
"An old man cursed with immortality hunts ghosts rather than making mortal friends who will die one day. When residents of an Ohio town beset by a vengeful spirit adopt him as their own, he must decide: leave to protect his heart, or stay to save their lives?" To the left of the text is E.M. Anderson's The Keeper of Lonely Spirits, above a QR code linking to the book at Bookshop(dot)Org in either hardcover or ebook. Text is in a translucent textbox against a background of yellow flowers in the sunset.

Text on a green background. It says, "Wildthorn: Wildthorn Books is a new imprint of Tor Publishing Group focused on commercial stories that are irresistable, genre-blending and genre-bending. Wildthorn's mission is to become the destination for compulsive, page-turning reads."
NEWS! My next book, TRANSLUNAR, about a closeted trans woman who's an astronaut in the sixties, is coming out in fall 2027! It'll be on Wildthorn, Tor's brand-new general fiction imprint -- a dream, as it lets me work with @englelaird.bsky.social on my literary and historical fiction as well as SFF.
We are pleased to announce Wildthorn Books, a new imprint from Tor Publishing Group:
The North American edition of THE WOLF AND HIS KING. It's a hardback book with a brightly coloured cover featuring a golden wolf and crown against a backdrop of woods and grass, in bright colours like a stained glass window. Next to the copy with the dustjacket on is one without it, showing the foil design under the dustjacket, which develops aspects of the main cover design such as the wolves, crown, and plants in a kind of symmetrical, geometric design, in gold foil on a red background. There is knotwork down the spine of the book. The books are standing on several horizontal copies, showing the stencilled edges, which have a red, blue and gold design with a wolf against a star and some fronds of grass or something.
It's a weird time to be trying to release a book in the US for the first time, but I guess we all need some medieval werewolves and queer yearning amidst The Horrors? Anyway, it's only a week until THE WOLF AND HIS KING comes out in North America, and the NA edition is VERY pretty:
