LFC have kicked their season off with a bang. Incredible start. To be fair, I was worried last season about Arne making little to no changes to the roster. Arne won the whole thing on his first go. Arne made some changes now, let's see how they do ๐Ÿ‘€

Looks like Feature Animation Florida is coming home. It was way better than Launch Bay and I had no idea why Launch Bay replaced it to begin with, but Animation is returning to DHS again. Life is good.

"Purely a financial decision" my ass, thanks CBS.

On another note, I've supported PBS for years and will continue to do so.

When the chairman is clearly upset about a testimony regarding planned service changes to DART, you know political drama is kicking off.

The DART board room with Gary A Slagel in the middle, Nadine Lee on the left and Gene Gamez on the right. Zoom in on Gary and you see he is disgusted about the comments speaking against the proposed service changes.

I'm on @ridewithdata.org 's side and here to shut down a state representative's political agenda.

The good thing about County Cricket? It's available to everyone (no seriously, the majority of games are streaming free to air online)

Feature Animation Florida, home of L&S!

Mostly the South side where the lads grew up, but a friend is originally from the North East side of town, easily accessible by MerseyRail too ๐Ÿ‘€

Got to love it when Cricket returns home to QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, especially if they go out of the park completely for a six.

LAKR's first 3 wickets during their innings vs Washington after Maxwell goes for 106 not out:

Alex Hales out for a 4 ball duck
Narine for a golden duck
Chand out for a 7 ball duck.

Insane, and those were the first 3 fall of wickets too. ๐Ÿ‘€

They're having a blast. Unicorns are undefeated at home now. Apparently a video that MLC released said they'll be back in Oakland in the future ๐Ÿ‘€

Oakland Coliseum looks and feels like a proper cricket ground. I don't like that it's a drop in pitch, but it seems to be doing OK. And yes, there have been so many boundaries in Oakland already.

Feels good to have MLC back. I love what they did to QuikTrip Park, watching the Cricket is pretty cheap too.

County Cricket being free to air on YouTube is amazing, why can't other tournaments be like this? ๐Ÿ‘€

Blame the director, had a really good film on their debut that was released by A24

25.05.2025 06:10 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

The original film also had a small budget. Sanders said that the original film was more like a "dumbo for this generation" type of deal so I would argue that Lilo and Stitch (2025) is the same thing to an extent.

24.05.2025 07:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

All in all, it was an excellent film that deserved to be seen in theaters. While I know the film was given a small (100M USD) budget due to the film initially being intended for Disney+...

It's not me complaining, but the policy for that specific screening time being Kid Friendly wasn't well explained, I'll try to book midday screenings during the school year or later screenings at night the next time I go there so I don't have to raise more order cards about the same issue.

24.05.2025 07:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I was slightly disappointed that my theater didn't enforce their stricter "no disruption" policy during the screening (the only reason why I go there apart from it being local), but the manager was extremely helpful with my situation after I raised an order card about the issue.

24.05.2025 07:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

In the original film, we didn't know a whole lot about David (possibly a last minute addition by Sanders to advance the plot), but him and is grandmother are apparently neighbors now ๐Ÿ‘€

Bubbles is properly part of the CIA now, there was a running gag about that in the original film, but the change was officially being hired (and being a spy at first) by the CIA and more of a "let me find out everything without saying what I'm really doing here"

24.05.2025 07:07 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Tia Carrere shocked me. I was sort of aware of a new CPS agent, but the performance was more of a "gentle, but serious" approach which works really well here (according to the lore, you could argue she was the lead investigator on the case until they were replaced by Bubbles, speaking of...)

I know what people have said about Nani in particular, but Sydney was great. That mid credit scene though? Insane... ๐Ÿ‘€

Now to the other cameos:

Jason Scott Lee: Can't really say much, but it was a great performance (not that the Luau manager role was big imo).

Stitch is Stitch (obviously). Sanders unknowingly created a celebrity back in 2002, and stitch is still a celebrity.

Jumba and Pleakley's actors probably weren't the best choices for ADR/VA, but it wasn't too bad in my opinion (the script saved these characters in particular). IRL was just fine

I saw the new Lilo and Stitch the other night (my opinion is below):

Maia Kealoha is the breakout sensation I didn't know I needed, she'll be a superstar one day.

Hannah Waddingham as the Grand Councilwoman was top notch casting as well, I really liked that character
