Weirdly, NJO was what finally convinced me I didn’t need to be a Star Wars novels completionist. I read several of them and basically hated the entire storyline so much that I gave away the ones I had purchased.
I’m invested in the characters but it’s definitely not what I would call a driving narrative.
Huh. The only thing on there we watch is SNL, and even that is only the cold open and Weekend Update via YouTube. Kind of a fascinating slice of reality.
I have not. I started The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt on March 1st and between it being very long and my dog having emergency spinal surgery nine days ago, I’m only about halfway through.
I was on it obsessively when I was laid off for the second time in 16 months. Once I landed a new job I happily turned off notifications and just check in occasionally when I’m bored. It’s been so liberating.
It’s hard and much more physically demanding than I ever realized, I haven’t gotten much sleep, and my anxiety is through the roof. But we love our little bean so much. (He’s my PFP.)
Our younger rescue dog ruptured a disc and lost the use of his back legs sometimes between 8 pm last Monday and 1 am last Tuesday. He made it through surgery and is back home, and now we are dealing with new care routines and doing what we can to give him the best chance for full recovery.
Oh, “A Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet” was good! I haven’t tackled the subsequent books yet.

Flew Wednesday and this morning domestically. Thankfully no issues but I have another trip in mid-March and we’ll see how it goes…

I had a set of Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph pens for art class in high school and I absolutely adored them. No idea what happened to them.
I think it also makes a difference which GS bakery they are coming from. Last year the SoCal GS council switched bakeries, and it turns out I like the previous one a LOT better.

People that can just go to restaurants willy nilly without a thorough pre-review of the menu and an idea of something they are willing to order amaze me.
During the early COVID days my husband and I got hooked on the 3DBotMaker YouTube channel and got super invested in Hot Wheels cars racing down elaborate tracks. Excellent production values, a sense of humor, and you’d swear someone is actually driving sometimes.
The San Diego Zoo cams are also a good option…
I’ve never had any real interest in reading Britney’s book and I’m not an audiobook listener but this description alone may change that.
It was a comparative example. If given a binary choice between two current Democratic white male governors that have gained national attention, I prefer Pritzker to Newsom. But realistically there will likely be others in the Dem primary that I favor over either one.
We need more Muppets in the world.
The urge to rear end would be strong.
As a California resident who actually voted for the guy multiple times for governor…I won’t be supporting him in a Dem primary. If he wins the nomination I will vote for him because I’m a realist but I won’t be happy about it. If it has to be a white dude gov I prefer my native state’s Pritzker.
It absolutely had that old-school Muppet vibe even if I’m still not quite down with Kermit’s current voice.
The world needs more Muppets.
