Fiona Robertson of QEB Hollis Whiteman prosecuted Christopher Jackson who pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and two counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving arising out of a fatal collision on the pedestrianised area of The Strand on 18 March 2025.
The defendant entered guilty pleas to causing death by dangerous driving and to a further count of dangerous driving arising from the same course of conduct.

Philip McGhee of QEB Hollis Whiteman prosecuted R v Justin Clarke-Samuel at the Old Bailey, where the defendant (known professionally as Ghetts) was sentenced to 12 years’ imprisonment for causing the death of Yubin Tamang by dangerous driving.
The trial is expected to last four weeks.

Anne Whyte KC and Oliver Mosley prosecuted former solicitor Alan Harris, sentenced to 13 years’ imprisonment at Winchester Crown Court for sexually abusing vulnerable criminal clients over nearly three decades.
Springer targeted four highly vulnerable victims across Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire. The investigation was led by the East Midlands Special Operations Unit.

Paul Raudnitz KC has concluded a Lincolnshire care home abuse case in which care worker Joshua Springer, 36, was jailed for 21 years for raping elderly residents with dementia.
The appeal was dismissed, the conviction upheld, and Lady Justice May commended counsel’s submissions.

Acting for the CPS Appeals & Review Unit, Ben FitzGerald KC and Jennifer Newcomb successfully argued that the “significant risk of serious physical harm” under s.5 can arise from the very unlawful act or omission that caused the child’s death, and need not pre-exist the fatal conduct.
The Court of Appeal has handed down judgment in R v Jamal [2026] EWCA Crim 135, a significant ruling on the scope of s.5 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act 2004.

Philip Stott prosecuted a former nursery and primary school worker convicted of 56 serious child sex offences committed between 2011 and 2024 at schools and nurseries in North London.
On 12 February 2026 at Wood Green Crown Court, Vincent Chan was sentenced to an extended 26-year term.
Today, the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) offered no evidence against Graeme Hossie, Rachel Rhodes and Ariel Armon, concluding an investigation that began over eight and a half years ago and resulting in the acquittal of all three.
