Even if they do walk back some of the bans on trans people. I think they are already pretty unsalvageable and should be written off.

I think a senior government official advocating for a permanently disenfranchised labour caste is something there should be many columns on.

In a world that made any sense, this is the sort of thing that should have mass mainstream media scrutiny.
Now it just seems to fade into the background.

Allowing vaccinations to be framed as a 'personal choice' rather than as a public health issue and has been a disaster for society.

You cannot opt out of paying taxes.

It really feels like it was not all that long ago when the picture of someone being tortured in the streets by agents of the state would have been all over the media and provoked universal political condemnation.

The green hair is an odd choice. Since I think in LiS 2 it was only green due to it fading, Chloe did not dye it that.
It really seems like it should be blue or her natural color.

I'm interested to see if the absence of Chloe's necklace will be addressed or not.

This is why I'm hoping that Pritzker wins the primaries.
He is the only likely 2028 candidate that has been rock solid on trans issues. I think it is pretty indicative of his character.

Given the flat/negative reception the DE got, I want to be optimistic and assume Reunion will retcon away the worst aspects of that game. Especially all the stuff around Chloe and Max.

Something that would be pretty easy to do when your protagonist can just jump into another timeline.

In today's world, even making these kinds of statements will get you slandered, but I think it's more important to create a world where transgender people can live peacefully and be themselves, so I will continue to send out messages until my account is deleted

I think Before the Storm justified it's existence and another prequel in that vain, focused on Max in Seattle could have been fine.

But generally I agree that the series should have just been an anthology.
Theoretically I think a sequel could have worked. But not in the hands of D9 and Square.

Fingers crossed that it is at-least a functional retcon, if not a total one. Something that would be pretty easy to do with the timeline hopping they introduced in DE actually.

How they handled Chloe and Max obviously being at the top of that long list.

It really annoys me that this is something I have to be aware of now. It has definitely made me more hesitant to buy things like prints from places like etzy.
