仙台で同性婚を求めて家事審判をたたかっていた、小浜耕治さんのパートナーが逝去。ご冥福を心よりお祈りいたします。自治体のパートナーシップ制度によって、病院で同性パートナーとして手続きができたことは本当に良かったです。ただ、パートナーの方の身を案じながら、一つひとつ「家族」として扱われるかどうかを手探りで進められてきた心労は計り知れないと思います。

そして根本的には、最期まで法的に家族としては認められなかったことがとても悔しいです。小浜さんの言葉のように、権利意識の強さや、少しの状況の違いで家族として扱われるかどうかが分かれてしまう状況はどれだけ残酷か。同性婚は命の問題。一刻もはやい婚姻の平等の実現を望みます。

My mom's been dead for 19 years now & I've lived longer without her. It really puts into perspectives how short life is & how fast life goes by.

I had a complicated (mostly negative) relationship with her but at least I'm glad she died a while back so I could work through grief more organically.
