Reminding myself why I mainly ride my bikes out into the countryside... less people.
I should say, I'm not against progress... not at all. But I have a 12sp Deore cable pull setup on my Bird Zero 29 that has literally been bombproof for about 4 years now... never given me any probs, shifts perfect 100% of the time. Against that, I can't see me shelling out £600 for Deore DI2 🤷♂️
Here's a thing. On todays ride, we were discussing Shimano's new MTB DI groupsets & electric groupsets in general. I'm as much about tech as anyone, but I've never had an issue that made me wish my cable pull gears were electric? Are they a solution looking for a problem? Thoughts? 🤔

Up in the hills again...
My hometown is surrounded by farmland and fields... I'm lucky I don't have to ride too far from my door to leave the urban sprawl behind.

Today I will be mostly riding with 3 other people to Braybrook Tap Room, having a pint and a croissant, then riding back home with a detour up Haselbech Hill to take a photo 👍
I went on a 30 mile e-bike ride yesterday evening and took literally zero pictures. It was a lovely view over the reservoir too 🤷♂️

Soooooo.... I've not ridden in over a month now. Personal stuff and things to deal with, you know how it is. However, I'm using up my annual leave, so I'm off all next week.
