I agree with the sentiment behind your comment, but unclear about how the states cut off the flow of money to the fed govt .The money comes from individual and corporate tax payers, right,not from state govt. So states themselves are powerless in cutting off flow of funds or am I missing something?

I did not find a volunteer opportunity for MLK, Jr. ‘s Birthday, traditionally the Great Day of Service. Instead tonight I donated to DNC, Planned Parenthood, Reproductive Freedom for All, and subscribed to The Nation. In times of personal strife it helps me to focus outward by helping others 💕

5 friends and I drove to Tennessee to play Mahjongg with our 90 year old friend who moved there in November. She misses us and we miss her. We’re going back in April.
