Really that's all I wanted from them, just a system for the living room that plays both Xbox and PC games as I don't have the desire or patience to put together a gaming PC (especially in the current economic environment). They do need to make the UI seamless though, we'll have to see about that.
Finally started playing #ResidentEvilRequiem last night. Overall I'm enjoying it, and I can definitely see why hard core RE fans love the game, it plays like you'd expect RE to play like and looks great most of the time. We'll see how it goes as I wind up playing more of it.

Really enjoyed that game, for both my wife and I our favorite Tales games are Berseria and Arise, hope you have a wonderful time with it!
My wife and I both liked Banishers quite a bit. Combat starts a bit slow, but picks up as the game goes on and it does some very interesting things with the story and choices. Hope you have fun with it!
Well, I could probably *play* every game I'm interesested in, now finishing them, that's an entirely different story!

It's all good, I appreciate the conversation. It is disappointing to see PlayStation reversing course & with the new leadership, we have to wonder if Xbox will do the same. It'd be great if just one of them would be open about the financials & explain to us why they're making these decisions.
I agree, in the last few years I've become far less of a fan of exclusivity. I think being on multiple platforms to help your games/consoles be more affordable overall is a far better option, let people play in the ecosystem they enjoy. Sadly, it seems we're heading in the wrong direction with this.
Damn...that feels like the definition of insult to injury for Bloodborne fans, that's absolutely brutal.

I'm very interested and hopeful with what they're going to do with the new Evangelion. Just from this short clip we can already tell the artwork and the music are going to be sublime, as expected from the Nier composer. And the hint there at the end of the Eva...here's hoping they nail it.
Solid pick, probably what I'd choose. And 4 was really good, I think it's my favorite after the 1st movie and the top down action scene in 4 is absolutely bonkers.
Oh then I cannot recommend the Mass Effect Legendary Edition enough, still my favorite game franchise of all time (although Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite individual game). I kinda envy you getting to enjoy so many great games for the first time, have a blast with all of them!!
Have you already played the Mass Effect trilogy?
I'd also recommend giving Starfield a try if you haven't, if you just accept it as a space RPG it's pretty solid.
I played it when it came out on Xbox last year and I didn't really have a lot of issues technically with it. I very much enjoyed the game, it does some very interesting things and I found the combat fun. I thought it was by far the better of the two Obisidan games last year.
That's a fantastic show, I wish we'd gotten more of it, but it's truly unique.
It's a bit older, but Macross Plus (it's on Hulu, watch the 4 episode OVA's and not the movie) is one I always recommend. It's shorter, maybe 3ish hours in total but the storyline feels very prescient to today's issues with AI and the music is truly special as it's Yoko Kanno and she's the GOAT.
It's a shame to see you go, but I wish you the best in your future endeavors. As an older gamer I was a Nintendo player first, then PlayStation and under your watch I became a primary Xbox player. From one retiree to another now, I hope you enjoy this next phase of your life!
Really good game, graphics and combat hold up well enough for their time. But the acting and writing are phenomenal as Andy Serkis plays Monkey and it was written by Alex Garland. Beyond worth it at that price.
They're facing unprecedented challenges they don't know how to address. Skyrocketing dev costs, younger generations that don't engage gaming in traditional ways, attention competition from Social Media and now AI wrecking everything. It's hard not to think it's in a bleak spot at the moment.

The biggest congratulations to #TeamUSA Women's Hockey, took home the gold today over a very, very tough Canada team. Our Women's team outscored their opponents 33-2 over the course of the Olympics in an absolutely incredible run.
Once again the matchup lives up to the hype, cannot believe they tied that with 2 minutes left in the game. Super happy for Team USA, that was an absolute incredible run outscoring their opponents 33-2 in the Olympics.
I find it hard to say the GaaS trend is truly awful when there are a number of highly successful iterations of those games. The issue to me seems to be more A) putting teams on it that don't specialize in that style of game and B) having no general idea what makes them work in the first place.
Rough first two periods for the U.S. team after having been so dominant the rest of this run, but man it's always a dog fight when Canada and the U.S. go at it in Hockey.
