Amusingly fitting in that out of the programmes/strands from Sky One being brought up again nostalgically due to it's relaunch, this is one of the few* from the latter category that's been excluded (with credit to @neilsmiles.com for uploading)

Hard to believe itβs 35 years since the deregulation of the TV listings
The death has been announced of Pam Masters, former head of Presentation at the BBC and Channel 4 and later founding CEO of Red Bee.

Some archived listings of the channel are on the wayback machine page of the former TV listings subsection of Sky's site, so they're not entirely scarce

Amazes me how 5Star was more so an experimental channel in Channel 5's channel portfolio presentation wise during this period given how it's arguably the most neglected one out of them now

Today's upload is a bit of BBC One continuity from the 25th March 1998 leading into CBBC, presented by Kirsten O'Brien of SMart fame partnered by Otis the Aardvark
Somewhat related to this, I've just remembered that Virgin1 in it's first year had 2-3 hours of live roulette during overnight hours, which I'm sure was quickly done away by teleshopping before long

(Well technically brought back in it's last year after not being used since the mid 00s, but you get my point)
And re Learning Zone, your casual reminder that their original long ident from the 1997 rebrand (with a Netscape Navigator browser pop up might I add) was still in use (with the rest of the branding) as late as 2015, and yet didn't look dated at all

Third and last upload for today is a bit of continuity from BBC Two from the 20th July 1996, leading out of Video Diaries and into Newsnight, with promos for Future Fantastic and another for "Summer Nights" on the much missed Learning Zone strand
archive.org/details/nick...
Second upload of today is some continuity and adverts from Nick Jr UK from around April 2002 leading out of Dora and into Blues Clues, with some IVC from Kevin Duala at the end for good measure

First of today's uploads is a compilation of continuity and ads from Channel 4 during June and July of 1996 from the final months of the original Lambie Nairn era
In terms of channels here airing PIFs though, I was surprised to learn a few years back that Discovery Kids used them in between shows (and promos for OnDigital channels as it was exclusive to the platform then), which I don't recall them doing in the mid 00s (from 4:25 in)

Your words are a life-saving kit. If you see someone who doesnβt look OK, a little small talk could save their life. Anyone can do it.

Highly agree with your statements at the last 2 paragraphs there, as whilst PIFs are still lingering on, long gone are the powerful techniques and methods used by companies behind them to really drive their messages home to audiences
Oddly enough, with Boomerang's run of the show almost 20 years ago, from memory it was pretty infrequent with it being promoted alongside Tiny Toons Adventures at first (plus Camp Lazlo) and then being shunted to a later time after a year or so

Today's upload is an imcomplete edition of They Think It's All Over from the 18th December 1997 (this being from a repeat on the packaged format for the show), with guests Phill Jupitus and Iwan Thomas on Gower's team, and Jeff Green on McGrath and Lineker's team
Planning on doing this post again in a more detailed/retrospective tone for the site's silver anniversary soon.
For those who were users or lurkers of the site that have any suggestions for what to include (memorable threads, forum events etc), leave a reply below and I'll accommodate them

Also would highly recommend giving the initial 3 episode run a second rewatch (or a first time one like me a while back), as it really does set the tone for how the rest of the show plays out
Genuinely still think of this segment on the Beeb's ECP guidelines from the late 00s as my favourite moment from the whole show

Tasneem miscarried due to nearby shelling, and her health is suffering. She is currently in intensive care. Fighting for survival. She could die. Her children could die. Please donate and help her family survive. I helped her story go far, and I cannot bear to lose her.

I also recall there being a breakfast strand titled "Big Bravo Breakfast" around late 2004 that carried the same format as Toon FM as well (though I could be misremembering on that bit)
youtu.be/ZHu4dudeP7s?...
I did upload some footage of the strand on my Internet Archive account a while ago and from what I gathered from it, the format was pretty much linking material between shows interspersed with kids phoning in and winning prizes, plus the odd segment here and there

And regarding the female presenter, the one you're referring to there is Amelia Tyler, who was amazingly in her late teens when she took on the role from Steve Ryde

Thanks for clearing that up - I'd imagine that it was a practice they did for the first half of that year to appeal Chart Show to CITV viewers (in the same way with CD:UK later), though I hadn't realised they did the same with the former until coming across that promo
It is very much worth reading this obituary to Rob Grant over on Ganymede & Titan.
www.ganymede.tv/2026/03/obit...
Eluded more to this in the description, but from what I've seen, Scratchy and Co was mainly advertised as it's own show and not connected with The Chart Show within CITV, so not sure if the joint promo there was common with the series or not?

Second and last upload for today is another bit of CITV during February/March 1998 taking us out of Crazy Cottage in the first clip*, and Art Attack in the latter one, including a closedown at the end.
*those familiar with the show will get the joke
