I think a lot about the abstract and the way we teach it as a way of "efficiency" in doing research for students (among other demands for "efficiency" int he process)

and as folks note in the thread, the Reparations NOW campaign in Chicago is one possible model for this. it's not the only model, but it's the one I think about the most frequently--especially as some of the demands are still in process (the memorial, as far as I know, has not been built.)
LRP I've been saying for at least a month or two now, that we in minnesota need to be seriously thinking about this, which is hard because people are still being kidnapped. But it needs to be on our radar, because the state owes these people to whom it has done such immense violence
I agree with this and it's something for which community groups should already be developing concrete plans. I think reparations are already due.

yes. our union would not be what it is right now without our staff, from whom I have learned so much and also lean on so much. AND I think a lot about what's possible and not possible for me who has to work full time and doesn't get paid time that isn't my vacation to organize.
