Indeed, very proud to see this work finally published. Nymphaea is such a gorgeous system for studying seed evo-devo, and I feel incredibly lucky to have led this project. Huge thanks to all colleagues involved. Hoping this is just the start โ excited to keep pushing this line of research further.

Here we showed that auxin production after fertilization is a conserved, paternal-triggered mechanism for seed initiation in angiosperms.
