Getting on a bit. Accidentally swapped city working for rural Wales. Miss IKEA though. Of is not a verb. Same school of thought as Kathy Burke when it comes to being woke. Posting anonymously until I retire ๐

Start as you mean to go on. ๐
Looking back now I've been lucky enough to see some bloody amazing gigs. Thinking back I also saw Michael Jackson at that same venue but can't remember now whether he was there before Bowie!
Old Cardiff Arms Park and The Glass Spider Tour...
I'm pretty sure Daisy Cooper is 3 vodkas away from lamping him one ๐

It is.
I keep forgetting it is.
But it is sublime.
I imagine their PL insurers will also have a say and in my limited experience their focus is not on the strength of the claim but potential risk on costs. Since any costs over a set deductible will come from the insurers they will expect final dibs on whether to pay something to make it go away.
Not sure if Nye ever hit in the US but it's a powerhouse performance by Michael Sheen as Nye (pronounced "nigh") aka Welsh Labour minister Aneurin Bevan, the force behind the formation of the National Health Service in post WW2 Britain.

Man with stubble, "Small boats arrivals are 37,000. There are over 4 million kids in child poverty. And 4.5 million who can't get a dentist appointment" #BBCQT
"We spend 90% of the media discourse on the 37,000. How much more could we achieve if we put that effort into the 4.5 million?"
Wishing all my friends in the United States a happy National Cat Day. We don't have a National Cat Day in the UK, just a National Cat. Me.

I loved that documentary. That said, I have a slight old lady crush on Mr Farnaby ๐
What I hadn't realised until yesterday was that it was pretty much common knowledge locally that he was buried under the car park. Just local gossip handed down the years.
I'm guessing Aberystwyth will break your brain ๐
See my previous post! The result was dire for Welsh Labour even factoring in a degree of tactical voting. But you've just highlighted 2 matters which have not been a factor of any significance insofar as Welsh Labour are concerned. Now if you'd mentioned the 20mph limit you'd be on firmer ground ๐
We'll have to disagree there. But I think you're also viewing Welsh Labour as well ... Westminster Labour. In Wales Labour have been in power for decades. They are not the new kids on the block as per UK. I think a lot of the frustration in Wales lies with "wanting change" as per the UK GE in 2024.
Even split..?
I will disagree. Police investigate reports of offences & some will require a big response, especially if public safeguarding is needed. But if it was just a bloke with cleaning fluid what exactly are they supposed to arrest him for? Not all investigations result in arrest let alone a later charge.
I doubt "happy" under such desperately sad circumstances where I'm pretty sure they will be very aware of the likely outcome but as the law stands police have a duty to investigate. There is specific NPCC guidance on the subject. The law needs to change. If/when it does so will the police response.
๐๐ Whilst the law is what it is police have no bloody option but to investigate a reported breach of Section 2 Suicide Act. In many, many cases the CPS will decide not to charge (usually on public interest element) but they can only decide that on the basis of evidence submitted by the police.
Milei looks like all the cast of Are You Being Served in one
I've come under fire before now for objecting to people wishing my dead father a "happy heavenly birthday" on social media. It's just so bizarre. He's dead Dave. By all means post a photo of him but the rest of it is just damn weird.
My messy attic of a brain us telling me they were invented to keep the sun off and only later moved to keeping rain off.
I've just bought one of those inside out brollies but haven't had a chance to use it yet.
Not a hope. The Welsh 20mph limit along certain sections of the carriageway has now confirmed positive outcomes for reducing serious injury/death, road pollution, lower car insurance etc etc. The usual idiots, apoplectic that their 10 minutes trip might now take 12 mins, have not shut up one drop.
Ah, email doesn't work. Its one of those helpfully automated "Help" links which has nothing actually helpful or a "chat" option which I absolutely loathe and never find actually helpful unless I have a good 3 hours + of absolutely nothing else to do
Mine wasn't. It might just be taking them time though if they are suddenly dealing with a lot of cancellations.
Well you can and you can say why but you still retain access until that period ends. Which I had very naively not thought through when I cancelled
If you pay annually you can still access until the end of the year. As I found out when I cancelled (and said why). Getting a refund out of them is another road to hell.
Maybe he always thought it was the Noble Peas Prize...
I get the same vibe from Gawain Towler tbh. I see him and my brain goes straight to the Sound of Music for some reason.
He pulled the same stunt yesterday when asked about the sacking of the UKs ambassador to the US because of his links with Epstein...
