One of those IREX ferries would have been in service by now too.

Choo Choo Chewie.
I work with Tui and am heading to the final Auckland performance on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
lol. We all know Luxon is Muldoon’s “love child” but this is taking things to new extremes. Before we know it Luxon will get on a bender and drunkenly call a snap election. #nzpol
This coalition is so inept & bereft of ideas or imagination that they are considering resurrecting a failed idea from the 1970s. 🤡 #nzpol #Nationalnotfittogovern www.stuff.co.nz/politics/360...
Please join me in signing this petition to bring back Tiriti-based inclusive relationships & sexuality education. Giving our young people this type of education prevents sexual violence & informs about consent, body autonomy & healthy respectful relationships our.actionstation.org.nz/petitions/br...
Many of us living in Auckland know we can’t keep on with 1950s thinking. We have been calling for a more compact city with reliable mass public transport across the region. It is frustrating that politicians (particularly right leaning ones in central & local government) don’t listen. #nzpol
I took a look at the disinformation being spread by our coalition government in light of the COVID-19 second report, and compared some of the claims with what the report actually says. #nzpol substack.com/@michaelbain...
I will have to look at that coverage when I get honey
Given that the newly released Covid Inquiry phase 2 advised that the use of urgency should be done with extreme caution, I wonder what that means for this coalition’s liberal use of it.
Yet National & its supporters are trying to use this as some smoking gun that shows Hipkins is evil incarnate. 🤦🏼♂️
Seeing the National Party MPs (& their supporters) all over socials trying to use the 2 Royal Commission inquiry findings to demonise Chris Hipkins is both parts hilarious & sad. National are really looking desperate at the moment. #nzpol
The pathetic way the Chiefs & NZ Rugby, including Rennie, handled the groping and demeaning of Scarlette led me to stop watching rugby. As our national sport, I wanted rugby to do better. But they failed. I fear that nothing has changed & nothing will with Rennie in charge. END
I hope Dave Rennie has learnt that this kind of toxic masculine behaviour is never ok & that as a coach, the blame falls at his door. But I have my doubts. So that is who is now the head of our national rugby team. 10/
A year later, there was another incident involving Chiefs players under Rennie's coaching. This one was the verbal abuse of female parking wardens who had ticketed players vehicles. 9/ www.odt.co.nz/sport/rugby/...
His remarks ignored the victim, & called for the puiblic to feel sorry for the players and support them. Not once did he apologise to Scarlette, the woman who had been hired to conduct the striptease. No apology has been given to her since. She deserved to get an apology. 8/
Rennie continued: "It's a lesson in regard to that and if you have a celebration behind closed doors and no-one knows what goes on, then that's where it ends regardless of what happens. That's the cross you bear being a professional athlete." 7/
"What it'll highlight is they're just normal Kiwis who make mistakes and unfortunately with our guys you're in the public arena all the time and anything you get wrong, you get exposed for it," Rennie said. 6/
When NZ Rugby did a press conference, Dave Rennie turned up in a casual shirt and rugby shorts, suggesting that he wasn't really interested in putting things right. His comments in the press conference re-enforced this perception. 5/
In the wake of the alleged groping & demeaning of the stripper (no complaint was laid), a number of appalling things happened which re-enforced toxic masculine behaviour & swept things under the carpet. Essentially players were protected, & NZ Rugby closed ranks. 4/ www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/...
Around this time there were also allegations of homophobic remarks at the same hotel at the same end of year function. 3/ www.rnz.co.nz/news/nationa...
This happened at a "Mad Monday" end of the season function at the Okoroire Hot Springs Hotel, and it allegedly occurred in a public space. Here is a quick reminder of what happened and what was unanswered. 2/ www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/...
So Dave Rennie is the new All Blacks coach. Who is he? Well, we'll hear lots of stuff about what he has achieved as a player and a coach. What will likely be missed by many sports journalists is this: Dave Rennie was the coach of the Chiefs in 2016 when players under his charge groped a stripper. 1/
Perhaps Luxon & Peters might like to retract their statements before their Trump bootlicking results in a kick up their arse … like this. www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/5...
Great news. Well done to the Clerk of the House. #nzpol

Exactly.
She first promised surplus by 2027 & has pushed it out ever since. She also cancelled the ferries with zero plan B. If she had honoured the deal signed by the Labour government, we would have the first ferry here doing sea trials now.
“Look, what I’d say to you is that this is a levy because we are doing it, but if this was Labour’s idea then of course it is a tax.” #nzpol
