Let’s get one thing straight: We are not a Christian nation. We are a nation where you are free to be a Christian.

Your religion guides you, not all of us. It’s as simple as that.

You will not convince me that this is not a plan to terrorize Americans.

The regime wants terrorism on US soil to cancel the election.

Every single professional journalist who uses the phrases “Department of War” or “Secretary of War” without scare quotes should be lined up on a public viewing stage and bopped on the head with a giant inflatable hammer that says DUMB DUMB on the handle and makes fart sounds.

Screenshot of an excerpt of a Bulwark article by Lt. Gen. (retired) Mark Hertling:

***

This is why responsible national leadership requires two qualities at the same time: expertise and, in my view, a level of discomfort and anxiety.

Expertise ensures decisions are grounded in strategy—clear thinking about ends, ways, and means. What is the political objective? What military action advances it? How do those individual tactical actions contribute to an operational plan? What risks follow? What happens the day after the strikes end?

Discomfort serves as a moral and strategic guardrail. Leaders who feel the weight of ordering teenagers toward hardship, injury, and death are more likely to ask the necessary hard questions. They consult widely, think about escalation, and remember that war is not simply a tool of policy but a human undertaking with irreversible consequences.

The paradox is that those who understand force best are rarely eager to use it. They prepare for it. They plan for it. They master it. But they never become comfortable with it.

If a president is becoming more knowledgeable about military power, that is a good thing. If he is becoming “comfortable” ordering it, that should give all of us pause—because too much comfort with the desire to use force is rarely a sign of wisdom.

Rebecca, the author, is clearly still so conflicted and has really yet to process it all. I feel for her but tbh she needs someone to talk to.

Yeah…all the secrecy
What strikes me is also the shame, the shame over infertility and fragility, esp of the father, over his infertility. How much shame drives the dynamics.
How the daughter perpetuates the secrecy. How she initiates discovery and then blames the bio father for disruption.

This is outrageous, and it occurs to many more adoptees than you will ever hear about. It was the responsibility of her adoptive father to get her US citizenship (he brought hervto the US in a tourist viss) & he didn't. So much for another 'savoir' adoptive parent.

Trump's Nazi movement isn't temporary.
They're going to fight hard to stay in power.
The Pam Bondis and Stephen Millers and Mike Johnsons aren't going to walk away because Trump is gone.
They will replace Trump and keep fighting for power.
The world leaders understand that there is a cancer in U.S.

Hypothetically if someone was accused of having sex with goats by over 30 different people and regularly denied it, but also dropped very public hints about how much he liked to have sex with goats for decades, and ran a goat pageant to find the best looking goats, and was best friends with someone who got convicted of fucking goats and trafficking goats to friends all over the world who also liked to fuck goats, and his name was in the classified goat fucker chronicles 5,000 times, and he wished other goat fuckers well in prison, what do you think the odds are that person is also a goat fucker?

Racism is not an unknowable disease of the heart, it's a provable set of actions and responses. That's why the @nytimes.com can't handle. For them to admit that Trump is racist would mean they'd have to admit they been carrying the water for a racist all these years. They won't ever do that.

The arrest of @donlemonofficial.bsky.social and Georgia Fort is an outrageous assault on the 1st Amendment and all our freedoms.

They and the protesters they were covering are being persecuted by a dangerous and lawless Trump Admin for defending all of our rights.

Demand their freedom. Enough.

Trump Is Still Obsessed with Stealing Elections The FBI’s seizure of Georgia ballots is as much about future elections as past ones.

The harping about 2020 was never about the past. It was and is about the future: using a lie about a "stolen election" to actually steal elections.
