I have a friend who was hit by a car as a pedestrian and suffered some pretty horrible injuries and she says the very worst part of the experience was dealing with her insurance.
I donโt think people living outside the US realize how a lack of universal healthcare BREAKS people. There are people in catastrophic accidents who wake up in an ambulance and wish they were dead because they have no way to pay for their treatment.

One of the things I find fascinating about the "you need to learn to use AI or you'll be left behind" crowd is that everyone I know who has been forced to use it has said that the only way to use it in a way that actually results in time savings is to know the field extremely well.
